Tansy was taken back by the toms kind nature and concern."I- I'm fine..." She quickly responded altough she could still a bit of pain in her tail. An akward pause suddenly filled the conversation."So... Y- You're going hunting? Eh... What prey do you guys usually have here?" She quickly meowed, finding the question a bit stupid, but asking it anyway for the sake of a conversation.

WildFern
WildFern stayed quiet, deciding not to bother the conversation between the two. Besides, it would be pretty heartless to ruin the opportunity of making friends for Tansy.

Graycloud smiled in amusement and relief when Applepaw's cheer seemed to return to her. The gray tabby caught a glimpse of moving water when Applepaw pushed back some branches before turning her attention back to her apprentice. "Great! I'll be around over there if you need me," Graycloud said, gesturing to an area near the creek and not too far away from where they were then.

BeaverStep cooled down a bit. He lifted his head slightly when she asked about the prey. He looked over WildFern to see if she was going to say something. When she didn't he thought about what to say. "Well the most common sorts of prey we catch are voles, squirrels, different sorts of birds such as pigeons, and of course the common mouse," he exclaimed and gave a quick glance towards the fresh-kill pile. "There is a possibility of catching fish by the creek, though it's quite shallow so it's not a home for large fish," he continued and looked back at Tansy with calm eyes. Though there was still something about his step that was uncertain.

ApplePaw looked over in the direction of where GreyCloud was pointing. "Ok. I can stay here and slowly make my way towards the creek," she meowed, already beginning to look around.

She didn't worry to much about them finding marigold or even cobwebs. Marigold was a bright yellow and easy to see through the green vegetation. While the cobwebs were everywhere. Though the blackberry leaves are a dark green color and harder to recognize from far away. Plus she was still a trainee. She hasn't quite developed that keen eye to spot herbs that more experienced medicine cats have.

Tansy nodded lightly, making a mental notes about the species that lived here. He mentioned something about a creek, right? Odd how Tansy had never noticed one before. Pherhaps WildFern will show it to her soon? "That's nice. I asked because I've heard some cats hunt frogs and lizards too." Tansy replied in a more confident tone this time.

"Well," BeaverStep began. He lifted his head slowly, raising his chin slightly. He paused for a second before letting his head drop in a nod, as if he was thinking for moment before deciding. The tom continued nodding, as if he was getting more confident with it. "Ya, that's possible also," he agreed. "Though, I wouldn't say that is something as common as a mouse," he meowed with a slight smile. The tom was getting a bit more comftorble around the loner, but he still didn't look directly at her with eye contact.

BeaverStep thought for a moment about the hunting ground. it was more than worth mentioning. "I don't know if WildFern told you about the hunting grounds, but that is where our main hunting locations are," he explained and glanced over to the deputy to see if she was going to say something about already talking about that.

"All right then," Graycloud said, heading towards the area she had pointed out. She quickly located a patch of marigold and went over to inspect it. They were still quite young, but they would heal just fine when they were needed. She picked some, leaving the rest to continue to grow and repopulate the area with its seeds. Moving around, she continued to find and pick the herb until she had a nice pile.

ApplePaw's eyes searched the ground. She occasionally moves a bit of bushes and tall grass to get a better look at what's hidden behind, though nothing interesting. She did however find a bit of marigold. Not a whole lot, but a bit. The apprentice didn't pick them though. She wanted to wait and see how much GrayCloud gathered first. If her mentor needed more she could tell her where she found some. For now she would have to concentrate more on collecting the blackberry leaves.

The apprentice walked around her face almost to the ground. She never took her eyes away from the earth. Not even when bird chirped not far above her head. She was determined to find this plant. She knew they could grow anywhere, but it seemed like they didn't like this area.

Suddenly off to the side she saw something growing right beside a large grey rock with bit of moss on it. This was it. The leaves were a dark green with brownish-red tips. As the wind blew the blackberry leaves jumped up and down as if they were laughing at her. Yes, very funny, she thought.

The she-cat shook her head at the question."I don't. WildFern has currently been only speaking about the rules of your Clan and StarClan." Tansy meowed, glancing at WildFern when she spoke of the deputy. She smiled kindly when speaking to the tom, hoping to give off a good impression.

The deputy carefully paid attentioned to the conversation, flicking her ear every now and then. She turned her head at the question."I found it better to start with our Clan rules." She explained why she didn't mention anything about the hunting grounds.

"It does make sense to start off with the rules. Everything we do and not do are based off of them," BeaverStep agreed. He looked from WildFern to Tansy. So far the loner was giving off a good impression. She didn't seem all that bad. "Well I will let you guys continue. I better get going too," he meowed and flicked his ear. While he was talking to Tansy and WildFern he had forgotten how he got there in the first place and that he needed to go out hunting. The fresh-kill pile wouldn't grow by itself.

WildFern nodded to the tom."WhiteStorm went out earlier. If you could find, that would be great." The deputy meowed, stepping aside to let BeaverStep pass.

"Alright, good bye." Tansy meowed with a kind smile, waving her tail in good bye.
