(Congratulations!) WheatClaw looked over at MealodySong, who was racing to the highrock. She stood up and padded over a couple of paw steps away and sat down. I wonder what TwilightStar wants...? She thought.

Flamesplash glanced at the sun, then back at camp. She turned to Brackenstripe. "We should be getting back to camp soon. I'm going on back." she mewed, then picked up her fish.

Twilightstar looked down at the few cats who had already gathered. She smiled slightly, then looked back up.

Ashpaw hurried to the meeting place to listen to Twilightstar. Maybe he's choosing the new deputy! She snorted. About time, too!

Raintail slowly walked to the base of the High Rock and sat down, his hind paws slightly sore from chasing a wandering rabbit, which whom was very fast. He defiantly wasn't the fastest hunter in the clan.

Twilightstar sighed. I guess the others will find out later. "Let all cats gather under the high rock to hear my words!" she called, her voice ringing in the trees. She stepped forward. "It has come to me, that we need a new deputy." she paused, thinking about the last deputy, Eagleclaw- a strong gold and brown tom- before the clan became TwilightClan, and was just a small group of cats. She took a breath. "I say these words before StarClan, that the spirits of our ancestors may hear and approve my choice. The new deputy will be Melodysong!" she called to the cats below.

"MelodySong! MelodySong!" WheatClaw chanted to the new deputy. She was hoping she would be deputy, but she wasn't mad, she was glad for MelodySong.
