With that, I take off after the wolves, coming along the sides of them, working my way to the head. Once I get shoulder to shoulder with Darkheart, I yowl to be heard over the barks and snarls, "You'll tire quickly like this, I just started running, climb a tree around that next bramble thicket!" I order, "I can take them the rest of the way, Shadepelt is coming too." I add, then stop wasting my breath and focus on running as fast as I can.

Thunderstar was finally going to hunt with me, but then, bam! Wolf attack. I follow the leader to where she and Shinepaw crouch in a clearing full of wolf scent and freshkill. "IS everyone ok?" I ask, but I can smell that other clan cats were here, they must be trying to get rid of the wolves.
