She wished she could believe in Copper's words. They did make her feel better, easing the worries away but there was still that kernel of doubt that lingered in her heart. Maybe Zargon's nightmares had an effect on her after all. She did not say anything for a long time, only moved closer to him, resting her head on his shoulder. She did not want him to see the doubt that lingered in her eyes.

"I'll believe in you then and the others." She did not add the, I'll try at the end of the sentence. "There has to be something that we can do now! It will ease my mind...I hate feeling so useless!"

[Calypso Sky]

"Sadira..." Copper hesitated, "It's okay to be afraid you know, we all have our doubts... And you aren't useless, you're far from it. I'd be freaking out and pacing around the camp if I wasn't sitting here with you. The best thing we can do is get out of the way of the others, and in addition to that, you can go to Shiko if she needs you..." Copper leaned more into Sadira, trying to make sure her head wasn't in an uncomfortable position on his shoulder. He closed his eyes, letting the sounds of the camp and forest fill him. Foxes chattered and bustled around in the clearing, he heard a hawk calling in the distance, and even closer, a wolf's howl. Now more than ever, Copper had a reason to be a warrior and to be a part of this leash. He wanted to protect Sadira, and to make sure the forest was safe and sound for whatever the future held.

"We haven't had the chance to test Copper's theory yet," Raven said to Jakei, nodding towards Copper and Sadira. "Maybe if all the foxes sleep together tonight, it'll be a little better. And I'm sure Kinari's watching over us," her voice softened, "She'll send us the keys when we're ready for them."

[Sacred Sin]

Jakei nodded, though he wasn't very convinced. "Perhaps." He murmured. "I just hope Kinari trusts us with the knowledge of the keys soon. God only knows what else could happen until then." He stared into the forest and thought he saw shadows moving and contorting. Something unnatural seemed to hang there. He shuddered and shuffled his red paws, fluffing out his fur against an unusually cold wind.

[Sidewind]

Creo walked slowly behind the others and listened to the wolves howls. He had heard howls before and a chill ran down his spine,he wasn't scared it was just that wolves had killed his parents.

Shiko gazed out beyond the barrier around camp, her eyes glazed with anxiety. "I just need you guys to be ready, in case there's a crisis." she whispered, hoping that wouldn't happen. Shiko sat down outside of the large mushroom den, her muscles tensed.

Yuri nodded to Soul, shivering a little in fear, he went and crouched in a large, dense bush, waiting for the battle.

Ryuu flexed his muscles, his eyes and ears alert for the approaching wolves. He shifted his weight from one foot to the other and lashed his tails.

[Calypso Sky]

"I'm going to walk around the clearing," Raven told Jakei, "I can't stand just sitting here"

Soul turned and whispered to the foxes, "We're getting close, tread carefully from now on. When I stop, Creo and Jupiter will start to circle around. After giving you a few moments, Ryuu and I will charge towards the wolves"

[keydemon]

Ryuu nodded, waiting for their attack to begin.

She couldn’t say much to his words. She really didn’t know what to say because they had rendered her speechless. The negative thoughts slowly disappeared the more he spoke and she was able to forget about them. Sadira had forgotten what it felt like to not worry, not fear. She brushed her tail across his. “Thank you.”

[Sidewind]

All Creo did was nod his head at Soul's words. He needed not to talk now but concentrate. He was a good fighter and just because his parent's where killed by wolves he couldn't let emotions or revenge cloud his judgement.

"Yes" Flare responded quietly to Shiko's words. Like her he hoped ther wern't going to be any fatality's. Especially not his brother.

[Calypso Sky]

Soul led the four foxes forward, careful about where he was stepping. After a while of walking in silence, Soul stopped and raised his tail, nodding to Creo and Jupiter, and making sure Yuri knew it was time to get out of the way. The area stank of wolves, and it was time to attack.

Copper answered by wrapping his three tails around Sadira's one tail. "Thank you," he murmered. After a while he chuckled and said, "Isn't it funny how we're the ones most at peace in the middle of this wolf attack?"
