Rogue was shocked."I-I,"she stammered."Um,I ask Storm to prove his loyalty to the pack."

"I will prove my loyalty by.....' Storm's voice trailed off. He didn't know how he could prove his loyalty. "I'll pup sit for the alphas?" he said nervously.

[spiff]

Rogue snorted with laughter.

Storm looked at Rogue and smiled nervously back at the alphas.

Eyolf chuckled under his breath, hiding his fear at the thought of Storm by himself with the pups. "Actually, that's not a half-bad idea. Only let's change it a bit." Eyolf thought, "First, you must spend half a day hunting for Ayame so she can feed our pups properly, and take care of them by yourself except when they are suckling." he paused and continued, "the second half you must take Kibo out and you may not return until he has caught some sort of animal." Eyolf stopped then thought some more, "You must not eat at all while you are performing these duties,, and if you do, or if Kibo fails to capture an animal by himself by the end of the day then you will have failed. These are my words and my decision. If you think it is not fair then so be it, but I will not change what I have decreed."

Ayame started at Eyolf's harsh words and the risk she was putting Kibo under. "Do you think Kibo is even ready for this?" her eyes filled with worry.

Eyolf turned and whispered so only his mate could hear, "We will be watching so no harm will come to him and so he does not hunger, but Storm cannot know that, for we must see how he acts...unsupervised. Not to mention we have to make sure Storm doesn't eat or help Kibo." Speaking aloud so the other wolves could hear he continued, "When you think you and Kibo are ready you may start with the first half of your duties then move on to the second." With that he turned away.

Chinua's wide eyes became wider as words failed her. She was confused but she knew her brother got to learn how to hunt.

Storm tried to hide the fear in his eyes. He closed them, suked in a calming breath, and said confidently, "Okay kid, we've got a lot of work to do." Kibo looked at his father harshly and said reassuringly to Storm, "My mentor, I will catch that animal, then we will feast on it together." Storm smiled and said, "Well then, let's get to work."

((since when? Storm was captured, became a warrior, isn't trusted by Eyolf. Rogue and Storm fell in love. Eyolf and Ayame had three pups (go back a few pages to see their character info and who is RPing them) so they want to step down as leaders and let Rogue lead but Eyolf doesn't want Storm to lead with her. Eyolf set Storm with a task to prove his loyalty so that Eyolf can trust that Storm will be a good leader beside Rogue. Now Storm is about to do the task which includes Kibo, the eldest pup who is his apprentice. Did I miss anything?))

Chinua gently tugged at Yumi's ear, thankful that Rogue wasn't stealing her sisters attention anymore. "Let's play!" she yelped as she wagged her tail in a play bow.

Ayame glared at Eyolf before lying down in front of her daughters, watching them with content. She gave Yumi a lick before nudging her towards her sister. As she glanced up at the sun, she noticed it was nearing its peak. She glanced at Rogue and gave her a warm smile. "Soon this will all be over," she murmured, "You will lead the pack with Storm, and I will lead my pups with Eyolf." She paused drinking in the freshness of the air as the humidity lessened. "Two endings, so different, yet so similar, and I know Storm will do everything he can to make it possible. Eyolf may not trust him, but I put all my trust in him." The she-wolf's eyes closed and she put her head in her paws.

Eyolf paced back and forth, "Let me know when you are going to start, and make sure you actually bring something back from your hunt," he growled. He sat down underneath the shade of a tree and looked out at his son. "And whatever you do," he continued, "you better teach Kibo well."
