Yara groaned but made no effort to move, because he simply couldn't. He was going to die out there, alone... His pups to grow up without a father... How could he have let himself go... What about Chako? What would she do... He didn't want anyone to come after him... No one could survive it. He had killed himself by beaching himself, and he had more strength than all the others on account of being half wolf half demonoid.

Merr looked out across the ocean, his heart beating quickly. He knew Ink would be watching him, but he didn't care, he needed to be sure... Was his brother still alive? How could he had lived even this long?

Ink stood up shakily and carefully walked over to Merr. "I want to go after him again, but you obviously won't let me..."

[Solanum]

Merr looked down at Ink, frowning. "No. You're in no state to go after him... But he is my brother. If he can make it, so could I... " He closed his eyes with a sigh. "I know he is still alive, he has to be, but I'm not sure if I should go after him."

"I'm sure he'll be fine..." Ink sighed quietly. "This is Yara we're talking about. He always pulls through." He slowly took a few steps forward, then suddenly ran as fast as he could in to the sea until he couldn't touch the ground. His father had been a great swimmer and he had inherited that from him. "YARA! YARA!!" He shouted as loud as he could. Surely Yara would hear him...

Merr plunged in after him, keeping up easily, as he had FOUR legs to swim with. "Ink. No." He grabbed him by the scruff and dragged him back, holding him so his leg wouldn't touch the ground. "No. You must not go after him..." He snarled and threw him back ashore. "Ink... I'll go after Yara. I would be able to survive the swim, you wouldn't. Don't throw your life away for MY brother."

Ink sighed and laid down, resting his head on the ground. He felt so useless now that he only had three legs and was completely blind...

[Solanum]

Merr felt bad about leaving him, but couldn't really do anything to help. "I'm sorry Ink..." He jumped away, determined to find his brother. He wouldn't let anything stop him... This was personal... "YARA!"

InkJR snarled and tried to get the black and white greyhound puppy off of the branch, but the mother of the pup grabbed him and threw him in to the river with a growl.

The greyhound held InkJR down under water and grinned evilly. She waited until bubbles stopped coming up, then released him and dragged him out of the water and threw him on to a spike sticking out of a log so the spike went in to his chest....
