He laughed at the question. "Well, it's kind of a weird story," he started off. "She had just lost her home in CloudClan, and so Brokenwillow--who you haven't met yet, I believe--and I were offering her a home in the dark forest." He sat down, reminiscing. "She actually had a big crush on someone else at the time, but I had an even bigger crush on her." Burningleaf chuckled. "I never thought she would give me the time of day. But then one fateful day..." He remembered the fight they had gone through the day they had become mates. Rowanscar had gone back to CloudClan and begged Wolfstar to kill her. But Brokenleaf had saved her, giving Burningleaf a chance to apologize for his horrible words. "She told me she loved me. And I told her I loved her back. And the rest is history."
