The Exile wrote:Flypelt looked off to the side, as the screams of his name grew louder and louder. "I.. what?" he couldn't believe it. He'd say he couldn't believe his eyes, but, he could never, since he was blind. So he didn't have to see the horrors of Puddlepounce's corpse, but he certainly heard the description. "Hey, don't you see?" he pointed as his eyes. It was hypocritcal he was defending himself based on his blindness, but it was true. Flypelt wasn't the world's best fighter. "I'm sorry, Flypelt." Rainshadow approached the tom. "I know you couldn't of been the murderer, so I'll help you out." he gave the small cat a word of advice, before a few cats told him to hurry up. Sunflight waved goodbye, but it was bittersweet. Life was unfair, but if Flypelt wasn't the killer, then he had high hopes for him. Rainshadow caught him by surprise from behind, but the tom rolled his eyes. "Rainshadow, It reallt doesn't seem like it-" "I know, and I agree. We don't need to say anything further, do we, Sunflight?" he growled. "I know, but it's so.." he cringed as he felt his leg contract. "Can't we just prevent this instead?" "At this rate, no." he swished around, until Flypelt completely disappeared. His white pelt allowed them to see him for just a while longer, until he fused with the background and was turned into a white speck in the evergreens. Rainshadow sighed. "Goodbye, Flypelt."
---
"Who.. oh." Flypelt questioningly asked, as he tilted his head. His blind eyes looked attentive when the murderer looked at the rude cat with interest. Almost as if he could see. "I smell you, you know." he added. The killer grinned. "Ah, yes. I won't make fun of your blindness, for one. No special treatment either. Isn't that how you like it?" "Yeah." he continued. "I think I scent other cats. Why are you here? I'm the 'murderer'." The killer let out a low chuckle, a bellow of hilarity and then drew near the albino tom. "'Fraid not, Flypelt." they hurled another chuckle. "We will separate ourselves from the four Clans, Flypelt. The dawn of leaders and deputies and medicine cats are over. We are going to begin anew. I have my following from different Clans, Flypelt." They showed their army. A large, Clan-sized pack. He recognized Shadowstripe and Swiftcloud from his own Clan, but he couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the full extent of this inside job. "Okay. I'll join."

Poppypaw and Shadepaw emerged from the nursery, their eyes puffy with tears, the insides of their paws with strands of Puddlepounce's fur. Lillypaw wasn't in ideal shape either, as she was silently weeping about the loss of their mother. "Oh, Shadepaw, I don't know what to do." Lillypaw put her face on Shadepaw's shoulder, as he trembled. Poppypaw cried even harder. "My mentor.. Flypelt.. and mom! And Sneezepaw! All of them are dead!" Shadepaw moved off of Lillypaw, then onto Poppypaw. The two sister decided to huddle together, while Shadepaw backed out for a second. Mossflight came over. "I'm so sorry, guys." she meowed heartfeltedly. "But what's done can't be undoed." she averted her eyes. "All of us have suffered a loss from this." she meowed. "It's okay to cry about it, but just know being happy is better for you." The medicine cat apprentice lifted her head, as the sun was eclipsed by Mossflight's figure. "But how?" she yowled, turning all heads to the quartet. "All I've ever known was being by my mom's side. It's only been four days since I've become a real medicine cat.. and I need her!" As Mossflight tried to fray the crying pile of kittens, she had an idea. "Erm.. let's go see the stars, shouldn't we?" meowed Mossflight. "Minnowdawn, could you please come here?" The medicine cat darted over to her. "The Moonpool?" she meowed. "Actually, it is time for all of us to go visit."
----
"StarClan, please let us join your ranks for but a minute so you can share your wisdom with us." Minnowdawn mouthed, as she touched her nose to the pool. The whole of the Clan did so as well, putting their nose against the cold waters. Lillypaw's second time in StarClan- she ached to see Puddlepounce once again, so she eagerly dove in. Everything bubbled, and a sharp pang was felt, until synonymously, the entire Clan saw the mists of StarClan. Most of them had seen StarClan before, after their first vigil. But the apprentices didn't. The mist cleared, a the face of a previous RiverClan leader showed up. "StarClan, we need your guidance." Cherrystar mewed. Rainshadow and Sunflight looked at eachother in awe, while Mossflight gave the kittens a light smile. The face disappeared, only to be replaced by the casualties of the murders. Badgerfrost, Sneezepaw, Hollyclaw, Puddlepounce, and Littlesneeze. Lillypaw and her siblings dashed over to Puddlepounce and Sneezepaw, and Minnowdawn to Badgerfrost. Hollyclaw and Littlesneeze were greeted by the deputy and the rest of her warriors, while Cherrystar looked after Willowpaw and Stormpaw, who were fidgety upon seeing StarClan again. "This is cool." Willowpaw meowed. "Ditto." Stormpaw said, his eyes like stars once he saw the mystical clearing. "I want to live in this place for-ever." "I'd hope not." Willowpaw added. "StarClan's for dead cats." she sneered at her male companion.
----
The StarClan visit ended uneventfully, the ghostly cats only warning of what was to come was a blood-curdling yowl at the end of their visit. So, did this mean Flypelt wasn't the killer? Mossflight seemed significantly calmer after the kittens came back to their senses and she had time to visit Hollyclaw. It was nice being able to see her again, but she never said who killed her.. which was more than odd. If she died, she'd tell her friends about her killer. Or was this just a façade? A StarClan-borne disease that had nothing to do with a singular murderer but StarClan's will to iradicate the entire Clan? It was pretty far-fetched to assume StarClan would do this to her, but then..
Cherrystar stepped up. "Due to the lack of warriors, we will make Willowpaw and Stormpaw fully fledged ones today." Blizzardleap continued, giving a low bow to Cherrystar as she respectfully took her place on the stone, for just a moment. Cherrystar didn't feel like announcing anything else today, as Flypelt had been a friend of hers, even if it didn't seem like it. Blizzardleap was still half-sane, she'd still twitch around and say things in her sleep about exiles, but that was the same for her medicine cats and apprentices and whoever she had left with warriors. Heck, even Cherrystar herself mumbled about Badgerfrost's dead body and the cats she exiled. It was so horrific, to witness something like that (and it was beyond what a cat could do; that of a horrific injury only occurs if she was to be run over by a narrow monster). Those injuries were unnatural. "Warriors of RiverClan, I will announce two new warriors." she looked back at Cherrystar, as if wanting guidance. "I, Blizzardleap, deputy of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. He has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend him to you as a warrior in his turn." she looked at Stormpaw. "Stormpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" The gleeful apprentice looked straight at Cherrystar (instead of Blizzardleap, out of habit) with glee, and jumped up and down. "I do!" "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Stormpaw, from this moment you will be known as Stormcloud. StarClan honors your honor and dignity, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan." she smiled widely before the apprentice, then turned to Willowpaw. "I, Blizzardleap, deputy of RiverClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn." she paused. "Willowpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" There was no question to Willowpaw. "Yes!" "Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Willowpaw, from this moment you will be known as Willowgale. StarClan honors your ability to communicate and your leadership, and we welcome you as a full warrior of RiverClan."
"Stormcloud! Willowgale! Stormcloud! Willowgale!" The screams of happiness in the time of despair cheered Cherrystar up, and she signalled for Blizzardleap to step down. She agreed, face flushing red with embarrassment. "Did I do well!?" she asked, frantically. "Yes, you did, Blizzardleap. It was perfect." Cherrystar laughed silently, as the deputy grinned back, then rushed down to greet the new warriors. "Also, since Flypelt has been exiled, ask Stormpa-cloud to mentor Poppypaw." Blizzardleap nodded. Cherrystar watched from afar as the young tom's face went from 'what' to completely excitement. Kids. They grow up in a second. Rainshadow still looked pretty grim, having lost his apprentice and all. Sunflight sat there, comforting him, with an uncomfortable pose. His leg was still pretty freaky, blood seeping out of it, despite the patches that Minnowdawn and Lillypaw put. But it was certainly getting better than before. The snow began to fall over RiverClan, and for once, the whole of the Clan could feel safe. Even Shadepaw, Lillypaw and Poppypaw were momentarily jovial, despite their huge loss. Their mother would never be seen during their lives, but at least Puddlepounce was watching from the sidelines. Cherrystar still couldn't believe it could've been Flypelt, but she hoped it was. She need the hope. Mossflight approached the two toms mentioned before- Rainshadow and Sunflight, and talked. Cherrystar couldn't hear what she was saying, but it looked nice.. very nice.
Oh no, RiverClan! ... Wait, oh yes! Instead of violence, there's some fluff!
