ﻬ Moriko entered the store, dogtags jingling around her neck. She loved to come here every now and again, often ordering a muffin and maybe a smoothie. She saw Before the Rain sitting in one corner and waved, getting no response.
Typical black-jewelled dragon, she thought to herself as she placed an order for a berry smoothie. Though, she did suspect that Rain didn't like her because she herself had a blue jewel, and the brooding jewlie was afraid of water. Moriko took her usual seat by the door and looked around. She'd never seen anyone here before, and they were all new faces. She pulled out her notebook and began to work on some writing.

ﻬ Before the Rain opened the door of the coffee shop down the road. She had walked past this place many times, and finally decided to see what it was like after Monotone mentioned it to her. Socializing really wasn't her greatest skill, however. Rain placed in an order for a latte with an extra shot and made her way to the most distant corner with a window. She pulled out her favourite book - House of Leaves - and began reading the words she had already read so many times before as she waited for her coffee. She glanced up every now and then, watching someone come through the door or sit down at a table. She planned to kill a few hours before she had to return to her cruddy apartment for the night. Anywhere was better than that stupid rental property with the creepy landlord and surly neighbours. Too bad her parents ditched her. She probably could have stolen some money off them if she knew where they were.

Fraise shook her head once again, amused. ''I don't look like a creep to you yet. There's always the future,'' she said lightly though you could see in her eyes that she was completely serious. She only shrugged at the male's next question and blinked thoughtfully for a few moments before words escaped her jaws. ''I moved here around half a year ago. I just hang around really at a couple of places ; I've only been at this cafe a couple of times before really,'' she mumured, her eyes seeming far away and off in another land. Fraise tossed her head back and forth a couple of times, like she was trying to clear such thoughts before picking up the menu, looking at the words. She looked at the different types of food a few times and eventually made her choice ; settling on a hot chocolate and some pancakes with ice-cream. Not the most healthy meal she had ever had, that was for sure, but she deserved a special treat every once in a while. Besides, it was a cold day and a hot chocolate would warm her right up, the pancakes and ice-cream would also be simply mouth-watering.

"Well, let's hope you don't ever look like a creep, even in the future." He said, with a grin. Even though the fact she seemed serious set him off a little, though he didn't pry. He never liked to push people in probably uncomfortable directions. "Anyways, glad to see you here. Always fun here, and I haven't been here in a while either." he said, though gave a yawn afterwards, emphasizing his tiredness. He again was up rather late, he had been in New York the night before and had to fly back home. "But where did you move from?" he asked, laughing a little at himself for asking all the questions. As if making the female fill out a questionnaire. As a waiter came over, he told them his order then turned his attention back to Fraise.

Ember

Ember watched as a black jewel walked to the corner of the coffee shop, seeming a little irritated, but maybe it was Ember's bad way of seeing emotions other than the main ones. Might as well say hi, she thought, standing up, the chair squeaking greatly on the floor. She pushed the brown chair back in and walked over to the stranger. "Hello," she smiled, deciding not to sit down, but looked at the book she was reading. "I'm Ember." she smiled.

ﻬ Rain could hear someone approaching her, but didn't look up from her book, assuming they would walk on by. She only looked up when the other dragon spoke. Rain looked at the other dragon for a moment, analysing her, before managing a small smile.
"Hi. Name's Rain," she paused for a second before adding, "Nice to meet you," to the end. Yes, she really was lacking the basic socialising skills.

Kalei stared. "That's... Not good?.."

Ember

"Hello Rain," she smiled, at the seemingly silent female. "glad to meet you as well! she gave a bigger grin at the end, smiling so that her eyes closed for a second, giving a small laugh with a sniff. "Mind if I sit down?" she asked, not sitting down unless the female said it was okay, hoping not to seem rude or imposing since she had probably just ruined Rain's personal time. "I-if that's okay!" she ended, stuttering a little bit, yet unsure why.

ﻬ "Of course that's okay," Rain responded. She closed her book to be polite and slid it back into her bag. She realised she was probably coming across as a little intimidating to poor Ember, and made a mental note not to seem so hostile.

Ember

"Oh thank you." she smiled, pulling a charming little chair out and sitting down. She pulled herself up so she was taller and put her hand out for a proper handshake, deciding to use some fun talk from back in the day. Since she herself had long ago been in a gang, learning the proper gang slang. "Sup, you here fo fun? Or are you treading on mah turf?" her eyes glittering with amusement. "Anyways, do you come to the cafe much?"

Lotus;;
It was her first day here, but she wasn't nervous. She seemingly always had little side jobs and always became proficient at doing them. Lotus approached the Ocelot looking JMD with her order. "Hello!" Lotus smiled sweetly and placed the berry smoothie in front of her, "Hope you enjoy! It's one of my favorites." She looked down at her writing journal, "Hey I really don't mean to pry, but what are you writing?" Lotus pointed one of her perfectly filed claws to her paper.

Cale Vuela;;
"No sweetheart, thats more than fine." Cale said softly, the words just tumbling out. Truth was, it felt more than right calling Kalei sweet names like that...
"Er, Kalei..?" He said, pulling off his toque and looking at it in his paws.
"I have a.. Rather important thing to ask you..." He felt the tips of his ears get overly hot as he continued his propisition.
"Kalei, I know it hasn't been that long, but.." He looked up then, into her clear beautiful eyes, and asked the question that had been nagging the dragon's every thought since he first had met her,"Will you go out with me?"
