The wolf howled at the pain coming from the two cats, it swiped a large paw at Larkpaw, however Frostclaw leaped off of the wolf and jumped in-front, taking the hit on his flank. Frostclaw screeched as the pain seared through him. He swiped his sharp claws across the wolf's muzzle, "Larkpaw, go for the neck!" he commanded as he kept the wolf busy.

Dovecloud was burrying her freshly caught finch until she froze at the sound of yowling and dashed away. She saw Larkpaw and Frostclaw fighting it and she yowled pouncing, fur bristling. The wolf sunk its teeth into her shoulder but clawed Its underbelly until it let go. Staggering away she yowled angrily, "What happened!"

Frostclaw saw Dovecloud and dashed over, "Go for it's neck!" he demanded, as he bit into the wolf's paw, tugging out a claw. Frostclaw leaped again onto the wolf's back and started to claw it, he felt the flesh ripping and blood started flowing.

She nodded and leapt onto the wolfs shoulders and sunk her teeth hard into the wolfs neck, The wolf bit down on her leg with brute strength but she clung on. She finally let go when the wolf was too weak to fight and she fell to the floor. She stood up and shook her fur and gingerly tried putting weight on her indured leg and padded over to frostclaw. "Are you hurt? What happened!" she mewed with fear and confusion.

Frostclaw sighed with relief as the wolf fell to the ground dead. "Larkpaw and I were-" he stopped, thinking whether to tell her that this was all because of the two toms being arrogant. "Hunting, and this wolf attacked us. I have a long cut on my flank," he turned as he said this to show her his flank, "Are you okay?" he asked her as he examined her.
