Shadow That Dances at Night
He did not have time to respond before Spark was on top of him. Shadow was writhing on the ground in a tussle with Spark, striking out with his claws wherever he could meet fur and resistence. His blood was boiling; his heart was pounding; his paws were a blur. A flash of teeth and claws was all it was, and he could feel open scratches coating his chest and flank. The warm liquid oozing out from the slashes stained the rock red; however, the stinging sensation increased his need for survival. The more he was hurt, the more he felt the need to fight. It was instinct. His pounding heart drowned out the sound of their shrieks, and just when he thought he had gained an advantage -- "Uh.... Fading, why are you arguing with Shadow?" -- He was interrupted.
Spark had already broken their fight up. Shadow pulled himself to his paws, shoulder muscles gleaming from the strain they had just went through. The expression on his face could kill, and now his sights were locked on Diana. The adrenaline made him want to slash Diana down for her incompetence. "You imbecile," he spat through clenched teeth, claws flexing in-and-out in fury. "How dare you interrupt."

Eye of the Eerie Tempest
Doubloon was the first to mention a possible imposter. He scoffed in amusement, thinking they were merely joking with him. "She looked exactly like Little. They even smelled the same. Little never grew up with any sisters, so unless there is a sibling she has not told anyone about . . ." his voice trailed off, shaking his head in initial disbelief. "Little probably had some inner motive not to say their true names." The tom stared down at Tiger and Honey, ensuring they were both in cheery spirits.
It was not until Star asked Leaf where his sister was that he realized they were right. He sat there dumbfounded, and only the twitch of his tail gave away his disbelief. Tempest had no idea how Little pulled it off. Tempest knew everyone in the tribe, so the newcomer had to have joined after he was exiled, unless she was part of the rogues. "So these are Shadow and Little's kits, correct? Their names are just different? Song, Leaf, and a third, known as Silver? I assume the imposter was lying about Shadow killing the third one then?" Tempest released a sigh, confusion coating his mind in a thick layer. Life was strange; there was always a new problem around the corner.
The former leader did not argue with the queen, nodding his head solemnly in defeat. This was no time for a pity party, but he had to admit to himself that this life was not for him. He belonged back in the camp of the Black Pearl, leader or not. Shadow would rather lose his tail than allow him to return though.

Flower That Blooms in Shade
Flower gasped when Wave slipped forward, tilting towards the pebbles lining the ground beneath their paws. She was about to jump forward to lend a paw, but thankfully, the patrol got things back under control. The apprentice, despite a fatigued twitch of her tail, trailed behind the patrol now. She was not willing to let the plan fail when Flame was being so brave about it. If Flame could keep faith in a time like this, then surely she would be alright for just a bit longer. She kept repeating this philosophy in her mind, paws dragging beneath her. Flame's words encouraged her to keep going. I'm okay, I'm okay . . . "You're doing great," she spoke up softly, eyes meeting with Flame's for a moment.
The apprentice did not know Jackal very well, but she was glad he had been there for Flame. She was unsure if Stream would have been able to hold the sailor by herself.

Flower That Blooms in Shade
Flower cleared her throat, standing up a little taller when Light mentioned she was the youngest. Her cheeks were turning rosy under her fur, knowing all-too-well that Light's words had a hint of truth. Flower could fall over just from standing still (don't ask how, she doesn't even know). "I suppose I could pull that off. I could say that I am coming in to clean out the old moss. Perhaps we would be able to find something inside of it? The tripping idea could work, but I am afraid Little might claw my ears. I would like them intact if there are other options available," she admitted with a sheepish grin, ears flattening to her skull innocently. Flower was merely trying to think of other solutions with less consequences.

Stream Where Small Fish Swim
Stream's claws dug into the pebbles leading up the slope towards the thin ledges along the rock wall. It would be easy for a feline to roll their paw; one minor slip could lead them all barreling back down to the patch of shoreline. The shoreline, however, was slowly disappearing under the foamy surf. It was beginning to rise, lapping up a new patch of beach with each wave. The patrol had no room for error at this point, unless they wanted to keep Flame afloat while attempting to find solid ground. The ocean at night was a dangerous place to be. It was difficult to see if there were any dangers approaching, and one wrong step meant a slashed paw on sharp coral. These thoughts terrorized her mind as they drew closer to the wall, and to her relief, they managed to reach it together. It was Fire's turn to take up the lead. Stream waited patiently for Fire to pull Flame up the first ledge, hoping their plan would work. It was risky, but they did not have many choices at this point.
She shot Jackal a look of thanks, happy he had been there to carry the weight of Flame during the stumble. Flower was even participating now too, which increased her overall morale. "You ready, Fire?"
