"Jaista, his former self, was my brother." He gulped and scented the air, trying to pick up his brother's scent. It was there, sure as anything.

Karrie growled angrily. "You're coming with me." she told Dark, and dragged him away from the others. When she was out of earshot, she glowered at her mate. "What the [censored] was that?"

"I'm sorry..." Dark flattened his ears and lowered his head in submission to her. "...I-I can't-" Suddenly he collapsed on his side and started panting hard, as if he was hot. "...I-I'm sorry...Karrie..." He was having another heart attack because he had become so stressed while trying to get to Yara...

Merr smirked at Karrie as she dragged Dark off. "He do this often?" He cocked his head, frowning, not even a hint of humour in his strong, powerful voice. His paws flexed underneath him, spreading his weight evenly between the four, his claws raking gently along the ground. He shook his fur free of any remaining water, brushing the tuft on the top of his head down with a small stroke with his paw. "Kid... I'm sorry. But he is gone. But he'll be back. As far as I know, that guy has been killed three times. Not counting any in between the time I've not been in contact."

Ink JR didn't answer, he just turned and walked off, pushing past his father and disappearing in the long grass...

Merr sighed as he watched the pup walk off. "Poor little guy." His gaze returned to the ocean, the sun slowly setting on a crimson sea. "So beautiful, yet so deadly." His head hung low, his ears drooping. "Yara... I'm sorry I wasn't here for you when you needed me."

Ink JR walked for a few minutes when he spotted Dark and Karrie. His eyes went wide as he realized what was going on...I need to get Merr... He ran back to Merr as fast as he could. "Merr! Dark is having a heart attack and needs help!"

Merr cocked his head. "My help? Why my help? I'm no medecine wolf..." He blushed, frowning, his ears drooping further. "But if I am told what to do, I will happily oblige." He nodded slowly, gulping. "Take me to him."

Willow padded around the empty camp a few times beofre lying down, wondering where the others were.

Karrie's eyes widened. "Dark!" she cried. "Oh, please no. Don't do this to me again."
