SunClan's Story [New Thread]

"What?" growled Eaglestar. "He took her? Why didn't someone stop him?" she demanded. She then shook her head quickly. "You can answer later. You're right, you should find Duskpaw. I'll see if I can find Viperpaw, make sure he doesn't hurt her. Shadowpaw, come with me, but stay close, and if I fight breaks out, don't get involved." she ordered quickly. With a nod to her deputy, she hurried off in the direction Pebblerun had come from.

Shadowpaw opened his mouth in protest, but before he could speak, Eaglestar had already headed off. The tom scrambled after his mentor, to be sure that he followed her orders. What if we're too late?! What if Viperpaw is already deeply wounded? There were so many questions buzzing in his mind. This..cat was obviously lethal,so the chances of finding Viperpaw in trouble must be high. "But..Eaglestar, what if you get wounded in the fight? Shouldn't I help then?"the young tom whispers in concern.

"I'm from the city, originally." replied Naomi with a smile. "It's to the north of here." She glanced in the direction she meant as she spoke, as if she could see it from here. She turned back to watch where she was going. "What about you, Flutterpaw? Is this your home?" she waved her tail to indicate the grassland around them.

The fluffy she-cat had a slight sadness to her voice as she spoke to the older she-cat. "I lived with Rainclan in a forest far away, but the home we've always lived was destroyed in a fire. Before that, I don't know where I'm from, and I was told that as a kit I was found drifting in the river. But now I'm a part of Sunclan, the cats who survived the fire." She explained.

"You're too inexperienced. Getting yourself hurt won't help anything. If something does go wrong, I need you to get help." Eaglestar replied. She glanced towards him. "But it shouldn't come to that. This cat is dangerous, but he's just one cat. And he's outnumbered." She slowed her pace, lifting her head to scent the air. "We're close." she said quietly. "Stay behind me, and keep quiet." she ordered, slipping into a crouch as she crept nearer.

"I heard about the fire." said Naomi sadly. "I've run into many cats who've lost their homes." she looked over at Flutterpaw. "I wish you and your clan the best of luck." She looked forwards again, spotting a small cluster of rocks hidden by the grass. "Ah! Here we are." she announced, trotting towards them.

Shadowpaw huffs in disappointment, but he supposed that Eaglestar was right. A warrior would be so much more help than himself. But what if he chased after me? Agh, too many questions! It'll never happen anyways. The apprentice kept low in the grass, his pelt brushing against the ground.

((Sorry I kinda poofed for forever. I got lazy and didn't feel like searching through all of these posts for a reply to my cat :3))

Cloudstrike rolled his eyes. " I just wanted to make sure the smoke didn't affect to nose too much. Besides, in the tall grass, you have to rely more on smell and hearing than anything else." He meowed. " Now, why don't you try to hunt something?" He suggested.

Falconpaw

Falconpaw felt stupid as she scented the air, trying to pinpoint the whereabouts of a mouse. She was taking orders from a Flameclan cat! How embarrassing; she was sure Foxstar would be upset that she had followed this warrior's demands without giving him a hard time. Even if the task wasn't too hard. They had been traveling in this tall grass for such a long time, Falconpaw had already gotten accustomed to hunting in it. Even though she had hunted in the grass, she never brought back any prey. She wasn't going to feed cats who actually supported this joke of a clan, so Falconpaw usually ate the prey before returning. This time, someone was watching her, she wouldn't be able to eat the prey now. I'll give it to Spiderpaw or Pineclaw. She decided, creeping to where she had scented a mouse. Weaving silently between the tall blades of grass, Falconpaw paused then pounced on the mouse, killing it quickly. "I told you I've gotten proper training." She grunted as she carried her kill back to Cloudstrike.

Foxstride glanced over towards a rock cluster, almost hidden from her view by the tall grass. She sighed and watched the waving of the grass, stretching her paws out, her claws digging into the bark as she yawned loudly. She lazily opened her eyes and started as she saw a bi-color tabby heading for the rocks. Foxstride stood to go approach the tabby but a white cat soon followed the tabby. Foxstride growled softly as her ears pinned back.
