Yara snarled at him, baring his fangs. "Nope. I'm not going to let you die here. What I do is up to me. What you do, is up to me." He wasn't giving Ink a choice in the matter. Without another word, he swam off towards the shore, swimming against the current on purpose in hope of losing the sharks. Maybe they would decide that they weren't worth the effort?

The sharks swam away, bored.

Ink sighed and flattened his ears, this time knowing to keep quiet...

Yara nodded to Ink, smiling. "Thank you." His paws touched ground once again, even if it was only pebbles by the shore. He tossed Ink over, bunched up his muscles and was just about to leap when the current picked up, sweeping his paws from underneath him. He yelped as he was carried away, his body giving up now that Ink was no longer in danger. "Karrie, keep him there! Don't let him come after me!" He was swept once again to the sharks, disappearing under. Blood appeared on top of the water, shining brightly in the light.

(( Don't worry. It's not his but the shark's blood. Although the characters don't know that. ))

The adult Ink held his son down to stop him from going after Yara. "Stay here..." He growled.
"NO!!" Ink JR screamed, almost in tears.
"I'm your father, listen to me!"
"No. My one and only father is Yara of Shadow Pack. I've lived proudly about that... I've been brought up by the father who everyone admires.... When those sharks attacked, and whenever wolves attacked...The vision of the father who protected me from the from them...That's what a real father is, the greatest father in the world!" Ink JR snarled. "You're not my father, you were never there for me! I HATE YOU!!"

((He's got some fatherly issues. D8))

Yara growled once again through closed jaws, slashing at another shark, catching it right across the gills and shoving it backward to drown it. <Die you [censored].> He gasped for breath, but he was being kept under by the undercurrent.

[Bolt1784]

"I'll go." Dark growled, standing up on his three good legs.
"Dad, no!" (Adult) Ink whined.
"He knows you and Ink JR better than me. And besides, he hates me." Dark sighed. He limped back towards the sea and jumped in, swimming underwater until he found the sharks. He cut his shoulder open again and swam as close as he could to the sharks, trying to distract them.

Yara saw Dark and growled, letting water into his mouth by accident. He started struggling, gasping for air. He managed to break free of the current and stuck his muzzle out of the water, taking a deep breath before plunging under again for Dark. He rammed into him with his head, pushing him aside just as the sharks became bold enough to attack. He squeezed his eyes closed, biting his tongue to mask the pain. Mouthing silently to Dark, his mouth once again filling with water. 'Go Dark. Leave me. I will come later.'

Dark was too stubborn to just leave now, so all he mouthed back was, 'You hate me, what does it matter to you. Ink is in tears because he's worried about you.' He slowly swam downwards and the sharks followed close behind him...

Chako sighed in relief, "Well, there's Maine. But where's Luke? Roan is out with Aceso, I think."

Shiva stepped out of her hole and grabbed some deer. Man, now she was so hungry. But she still grieved for her mate. Now he could never meet their pups.

Yara grabbed Dark's tail in his jaws and swam to the surface. He grunted and used all his strength to throw Dark back towards the shore. "Don't be an idiot. I can take care of myself. Get them out of here! Don't waste your life. I don't regret anything I've done in my time here in Shadow Pack. Dying for your grandson included. Leave me before I do something I will regret! And Dark... Tell Chako and the pups, even the adopted ones that I love them." He dived under, allowing the current to take him. It would end up in a river sometime...
