Ashpaw woke early as the morning rays were shinning in the apprentices' den. Opening his large mouth in a yawn, the solid black tom rose casually to his paws.Glancing around the den, it seemed no one else had begun to wake yet. Cautiously, as to not wake anyone, the apprentice crept from the den and into the camp's clearing. There, as his dark pelt begun to soak up the warmth of the bright sun, he stretched his long legs and shook his pelt free of his moss scraps from his nest. Afterwards his padded over to the edge of camp where the apprentice lay in a yellow patch of light.
Stormpaw wiggled her nose as something furry brushed across it. Holding back a sneeze, the gray molly woke; catching the flash of a black pelt leaving. Rolling her still tired eyes, the apprentice tried to lay back down and fall back asleep, though much like the night before, it didn't come. Huffing she pulled herself up onto her paws and heavily padded out of the den. Her stomach rumbled as she moved her body, stretching her limbs. The she-cat had not eaten last night due to getting back to camp so late. Knowing she would probably be training today, she strolled over to the fresh-kill pile and picked out a small sized mouse.
