The young brute's eyes came off the water image of himself as his ears perked with alert and he stared at the door. There was an unknown voice inside. Getting to his feet he quickly ran inside, jumping on the wall and flipping the switch with his nose.

Infront of him stood a large hound with dropped ears and a twisted leg. He looked at Jess who seemed to be standing by Elena. Tilting his head in confusion, he looked back at the other dog, "What are you doing here. You weren't here before. I've been watching this place like a hawk!" The last sentence kind of exited his mouth as a snarl. He didn't mean to, but it gave him an aggressive demeaner.

His fur stood on end, his eyes not leaving the hound. Realising his small temper was flaring, he shook his pelt out and calmed down some, "Sorry. I'm protective...of everything..." His voice was low, not wanting to really startle anyone. Although he didn't want that to be the case, he had a feeling he had somewhat angered the hound in some way.

Philonicus scrambled to his feet as the next wave rolled in. He yipped and dove into it, snapping his jaws as they fillled with the salty liquid. Turning his head slightly, Philonicus caught sight of Killer and his small tail began whipping the water. Spreading his lips in a grin, he barks softly "Hello there friend. Why so transfixed? The waves don't bite." A soft chuckle jiggled in his throat as he twirled the water wtih his paw.

Killer had been staring at the dog in the water when he turned and addressed him. Killer jumped a little and ran over as close to the dog as he could get, keeping himself on dry land, "Are you joking?! Don't you see the way it eats the sand?! And.. it chased me away earlier!" Killer ducked into the usual playful position of dogs, his back side in the tail with his stub of a tail wagging furiously. He let his chin hit the sand and stared at Nic, watching the way his twirled his paw, "You're gonna get eaten.. That's what Leon says anyway. He keeps jabbering and jabbering about how you'll die," Killer rolled his eyes as he spoke, "It's annoying. But you should teach me how to tame the sand-eater like you have!" Killer grinned, showing his scarred tongue and all his teeth.

Doli {Navajo for 'bluebird'}.

Breed:
German Shepherd x Border Collie.

Personality:
Doli is a tough nut to crack. She is quite harsh, and her first instinct is to show dominance. The girl is very strong, despite her delicate appearance, and she has killer fighting skills. Even if a fight is obviously too difficult, her border collie speed will kick in to get her out of there. Though beautiful, she sometimes uses this as a lure, especially when males are being rude or following her. Doli is nothing of a social butterfly; she prefers shadows to the light, solitary to group. Some might believe she has some form of goodness under her crusty old shell; perhaps, it's true, but no one has ever succeeded in finding it. Overall, she is a swift, beautiful, dangerous girl: a triple threat that shouldn't be challenged. But, there is one single fault in this seemingly perfect girl: loud noises.

Female.

Appearence:
Doli is 25 inches tall (at the withers), with long legs and a slim body. Her main body colour is a dark brown-black, with a light brown 'mask', as well as ears, paws-to-'knee' and tail tip. Her underside, inner legs, throat, chest, and some of her upper-outer leg is covered in a white and white-tan colour. Stellaluna has perky ears, chocolate-brown eyes, and her tail as only a slight curl to it.

Anything Else?: Doli has a woven, white-leather collar from a past owner around her neck. Hanging from it is a multi-coloured, glittering amulet, which is quite beautiful.

Cookie's paws showed her the way to the beach. It didn't take long to smell other canines; two males. One seemed to smell salty while the other smelled of sand. Ah, the smells of the beach. Her paws touched the sand softly as she made her way over. She seemed to be larger than the collie mix, but somehwat larger than the Dobie who was play bowing.

She somehow managed to creep up behind them without being heard, "Well what are you doin'? You realize you look like a complete idiot, right?" She raised her eye brows before letting them rest again in a normal position. Her pink tongue escaped her mouth to wet her nose so she would be able to better analyze the smells around her. It was a technique she had used alot; something most dogs didn't do. Drawing her ears back to hear if anything was behind her, Cookie sat softly in the sand. Her eyes kept wandering between the two.

"Maybe..." Keona murmured, and she slowly walked out in a sandy area were she could easily see some small huts and stands ahead. Quite some humans hovered around the area, and it was her biggest chance to try and find some food. She ran after the tracks the many humans have left. She sweet and smelly smells of food wafted around the area, along with perfumes and many human smells. There were kids; teenagers; and adults and elderly all around. And stands with big balloons and signs with pictures stood around. There were people handing out sweet smelling stuff, and maybe that was were she could start.

Slowly, Keona came over to the blue and pink stand with her ears back and tail tucked neatly between her legs. And she sat with a thump in front of the stand. The human was a female; the kind that was always loving and would drool over your looks. "Aww! you shouldn't be here puppy, who do you belong too?" The woman cooed, but Keona didn't get much of what the woman said. So she ripped a whimper and a tail flick. And no sooner did she get a fluffy piece of food thrown at her. When she picked it up in her mouth, it melted in a sweet taste. So she tried again; and it melted. "Great.." she grumbled, just eating it right there.

Elena hushed, and then saw the golden eyes of a stranger. Her heart thumped a bit, and she kept her light yet deep amber-brownish eyes wide and on the dog. Her fur rippled in a uneasy vibe, and it shadowed across the room from the light that drifted in from the window across the small shack. You look funny. she turned her head sideways, looking like a complete dummy. Elena kept her body tucked in a neat ball; her tail wrapped over her legs and her chest-fur overlapped her paws, keeping her warm. And her head, turned sideways at the lone stranger. "Your staying?" She murmured in a hushed voice, keeping the reminder from Jess to stay quiet.
