"I-i tried to help, but I don't know how. I can't, I don't know what to do," Fox answered, eyes wide and fearful. He was eager to help, to save - wasn't that what medicine cats did? He pressed closer to Rain, settling as she groomed him. Fox's shaking at least stopped, and he thanked her quietly.

"Sometimes you can't help them, Fox." Rain responded calmly, nudging him slightly with her forehead. Just like I couldn't help Leaf, when she ate water hemlock and holly berries. Rumble wouldn't even acknowledge me for a while after that. I probably shouldn't tell Fox any of that though.

Eye of the Eerie Tempest
Tempest kept his maw shut when his fate was revealed to him. Any cat that was exiled from the Tribe of the Black Pearl was sent to Outcast Isle. They would be escorted from the peninsula to the main island, and then they would have to survive the short swim to the isle during low tide. Once the tide rises, the small time frame opening to the island is shut off until the next day, which prevents the outcast from following the tribe back immediately. "As you wish, Gaze." he stated, regaining his pride for the time being. He would not let this break his pride. The tom refused to show any signs of guilt towards the kit's death. Tempest held his head high, dipping his head slightly to those that chose to stick up for him. He would accept his false punishment. "When would we be leaving?"

Flower That Blooms in Shade
Flower blinked in confusion when extra information was given to her about the murderer. "I had no idea that Turtle had been the one to take her out. That is a bit suspicious . . ." Flower confessed to Tide, feeling a bit guilty for being so quick to judge Tempest. He was her leader, but she did have her suspicions still pinned on him. Her eyes followed Tide as he yawned, head tilting curiously. "Are you tired? I can stay up and see what's going, if you would like to get some sleep." The offer was open-ended and optional, but it was friendly enough.

Shadow That Dances at Night
The tom cat nodded his head in agreement with her suggestion, flicking his tail to signal his followers to do the same. He gave himself a slight limp, shuffling along on three paws with one held higher than the rest. "What if he does not believe us?" Shadow muttered partially to himself, thinking of an alternative plan in case things went south. His mind whirled with possible ideas, eventually settling on the usual kill-or-be-killed attack plan. Shadow unsheathed one of his claws, focusing on putting random scratches on the thinner parts of his pelt where they would be more visible. It stung for a split second, but he was used licking his wounds after getting what needed to be finished, well, finished.

Tide sits back up, and shakes his head. "No no, I've just been sitting down for a while." He shrugs, and starts to groom his fur. He licked his tangles fur, his rough tongue pulling them apart gently. "When do you think we will be allowed out of the medicine den?" He asks between laps.

Flower That Blooms in Shade
Flower, noticing the knots in his pelt, self-consciously started to groom her own pelt as well. Her tabby fur was soft to the touch and rarely got any knots in it. Her tail, however, could sometimes get tangled and dirty from sand. She leaned down and began running her tongue over her tail, scrunching her muzzle at the unsatisfying taste of sand between her paws and pelt. Flower paused in her grooming when Tide asked the question. She thought for a moment on the answer before ultimately shaking her head in a defeated manner. "Hopefully soon. I hear a commotion outside, but of course, no one is saying anything. Do you think they decided what is to be done with Tempest?"

"I think I'll stay here and help you, then," Fox yawned, tiny sharp teeth glittering. His young age truly showed when he was afraid, and he felt very small. Hearing Rain purr, however, he felt much safer, and soon found himself purring softly in return. This would be okay!
