Sunpaw quickly followed Sharppaw out of the camp. As she followed him she couldn't help but notice how beautiful the forest looked in the moonlight. She was glad that she didn't sleep through this night. As Sharppaw asked his question she remembered there was a purpose to this late night walk. "I don't know. I haven't seen anything that would suggest that. If they did, though, would they try to hide it? I'm afraid Willowpelt might be suspicious of me. I think she saw how fast I was in the fight with the badger. She hasn't confronted me, though, so maybe she just figured it was natural ability." Sunpaw told the tom. She wasn't sure if she wanted Willowpelt to know or not. The young apprentice had a close bond with her mentor and it would be a relief to have an warrior there to guide them. Still, it was a scary situation. What if Willowpelt reacted badly? "If we are the only ones with powers, what sense would that make? Why would two apprentices receive powers? There must be a reason. "

Applesong climbed up the tree and settled on the branch. She watched the sky with awe in her eyes. From this high in the tree it was almost as if she could lift her paw and touch it. "It's beautiful up here." She commented.

Mousetail hunted for a while until she went to pick up two mice and one shrew, this should be enough for one hunting trip including the rabbit she and Jaywing had caught earlier. Mousetail carried the mice from their tail and the shrew on her back making her way back to camp ato drop off her prey

Rainpaw was asleep in the den not worrying about anything right now, he just relaxed and let his mind drift from dream to dream.

Sharppaw

Sharppaw thought for a moment, searching for a reason these powers were coming, or if any other cats looked suspicious. Finally, "Maybe we could ask Silentstep," he suggested, "Or Riverpaw. Maybe they heard a prophecy from Starclan. It could explain the powers, and maybe we're not the only ones." Suddenly he had more on his mind than just their powers, his feelings for Sunpaw began rising in his chest. He felt he could trust the fellow apprentice with anything, and those feelings intensified with their shared mysterious circumstances. "Hey, um, Sunpaw?" There was no time but the present, right? "I know we're just apprentices, but... um, I was wondering. Do you have any toms in mind for a mate?" Was that an awkward question? Was it inappropriate to ask? He hoped Sunpaw wasn't offended.

Stormpatch

"Really beautiful," Stormpatch agreed, but his eyes were on Applesong, not Silverpelt. Her eyes almost sparkled with the stars in their reflection, and the look on her face was mesmerizing. "Applesong," he began, taking a deep breath, "I... I think you're amazing," he said quickly, trying to get the words out before he lost them, "And you're beautiful, and smart, and talented, and so so nice." He gulped. He couldn't believe the words were leaving his mouth. "And I... I know probably not the best tom in the clan. But I try to be a good cat, and... I... I-I..." This was it, "I love you, Applesong," he meant to say it loud, he wanted to scream it from the tree. But it came out as a soft mew. "It's okay if you don't feel the same way!" He assured, "B-But, I had to say it. I needed you to know."

Willowpelt~Deputy~Shecat~27 Moons~Apprentice: Sunpaw

She stretched, padding into the warrior's den. Fireflies were flying around the hill, shining like little golden stars. Some of them were in the dens. Willowpelt's paws lead her to her nest, her eyes baggy. Her tail dragged behind as she yawned, coiling up in the soft dry nest. Her head tucked in as she mumbled patrols in her sleep, snoozing in her sleep.

Sunpaw thought about Sharppaw's suggestion of telling the medicine cat or the medicine cat apprentice. It seemed like a good idea and if they were in a prophecy it was important to know. Then Sharppaw asked if she was interested in any toms. "Hm, I've actually haven't thought about it. Mostly I've just been focusing on training and now these powers." Sunpaw told him before stopping and thinking for a moment. She felt like she owed him a proper explanation. "Other than some friendly competitions with Tigerpaw, I don't really spend time with any of the toms. Except you of course." The more that she though about it she realized that she did like spending time with Sharppaw. Is that how love begins? Sunpaw wondered. "What about you, do you have any she-cat in mind?"

Applesong wondered if this was all a dream. It sure seemed like it. The tom that she had a crush on was admitting his feelings for her. She had to dig her claws into the branch to keep herself from falling off due to the surprise. "Stormpatch...I love you too." The she-cat admitted. It seemed to good to be true, but it was real.

The tom listened, then nodded. "There's one," he admitted, "She's really great. Strong, smart, beautiful... and fast." He hoped she would take the hint without him having to say it out loud. "I guess we're a little young for mates, but when you meet somebody you click with it's hard not to think about."

Stormpatch

Did his ears deceive him? Did Applesong really just say that? Warmth and happiness filled him, he sprang up excitedly, "That's great!" He exclaimed, "I've been working up the courage to tell you for moons! Oh, Applesong, you don't know how happy this makes me." He looked up suddenly when he saw something bright in Silverpelt race across the sky, and disappear. A shooting star. A sign from Starclan, he thought.

Sunpaw's ears perked when he said the she-cat he liked was fast. Is he talking about... She smirked at the thought, but turned away so Sharppaw couldn't see. "Its getting late. Maybe we should go back to camp."

"I'm glad you did work up the courage. I've had a crush on you but I never imagined you would like me back." Applesong purred. Her eyes caught the shooting star in the sky. She didn't want the beautiful night to end.

If she knew who he was talking about, she didn't say. "Good idea," Sharppaw replied, "I don't know who we should talk to about this yet, but it's nice knowing we have each other." He turned around, waiting for Sunpaw to follow before he started walking back to camp.

"I thought the same," Stormpatch admitted. He paused, then licked Applesong's muzzle. "Is that okay?" he asked immediately after, maybe he should've asked first.
