Ebony grinned at Taoren's reply about the matron, then nodded at the comment about the Pure Ones. "You're right; we are not cowards. I just worry that we'll lose too many warriors." The female Barn Owl looked around, then spread her wings, flapping them a few times experimentally. "I believe I am." She smiled. "We'll be able to get out of here just fine." Ebony flexed her talons, noticing she still had her battle claws on, which were covered in layers of dried blood. She knew that a lot of it was from that Snowy - Baefyre, she believed - who had put her here. "If we see that Snowy on the way back, I'll want to end him once and for all." She murmured, looking at Taoren.

Toaren nodded to her comment about the Pure Ones' numbers. "I agree. But remember how, in times of old, our numbers fell so few? We were thought to have died out. Yet we thrived in secret, then continued going." He paused, staring down at his own talons- retractable steel-and-iron, about the best the Pure Ones could do. Despite being just another warrior for the Pure Ones, he couldn't help but feel that he was valued specially, these claws being proof of that. He nudged her gently, moving almost silently down the corridor, making their way stealthily back towards the great hollow. They were perhaps halfway down the hallway when a shrill shree, followed by a booming, echoingly loud hoot, erupted from the main hollow, and suddenyl, wingbeats, almost silent as they were, filled the air. He held his breath nervously, then rapidly made the rest of the way down the hollow, no bothering to reply to Ebony- not at once. He peeked his way curiously around the branch...then whipped back in silent shock. "Half of them- if not more- have left the hollow!" he whispered tersely to Ebony. "Now is our time to go." He decided to add what he thought of the Snowy, seeming as she appeared to know what had happened to the matron. "I saw what he did to you. I..." He broke off heavily. "I still see what he did to you. If you like, I will aid you in murdering that creeping, slimy pile of racdrops once and for all." He leaned in close, and whispered to her, beak to ear slit. "We, someday, will be rulers of the Pure Ones together, you and I. And together, we can crush the Guardians once and for all."

"We did indeed. We persevered." Ebony said. She followed closely behind Taoren as they snuck down the hallway. Once the thundering hoot and shriek were heard, she shrunk down instinctively, as if to hide herself. Then it was gone.
Ebony turned her head as Taoren told her about what Baefyre had done to her. "Well I invite you to help me extinguish his life, then." She said. Ebony stiffened when the Tyto put his beak to her ear slit. But as she heard what he said, she relaxed and smiled, seeming with stand a bit taller with pride for both of them. Her voice was filled with sureness and affection as she answered, "That's a fantastic plan." She grinned. "We'll be the best rulers the Pure Ones have ever had. We'll rule a powerful kingdom, and all those who are not Tytos will be subjected to slave work, executed, or forced to fly for their lives to the Beyond." She said, her mind filling with images and thoughts of their future.
Ebony turned to look at Taoren. "I... uh, I think I love you." She admitted.

{Ebony was taken prisoner by the Guardians, but Toaren rescued her, and they're trying to escape now. xD}

{ As far as I know, owls are still battling. Caedis is back at the Pure Ones base, Baefyre is severely injured from his battle with Ebony and Althea is with him. Myr is curious about Taoren and is about to go attack them while they try to escape. Amity is hovering in the air looking for anyone to attack or help. Nitra is talking to Liam, Solaris is fighting, I'm not sure what Shangrila is doing. Bo and Misaka are fighting (not each other). Did I miss anyone besides Aquila, Emerald, Ebony, and Toaren (who were already recap'd)? }

Emerald flew with he friend, fighting the Pure ones away. There was a flash if light, and then darkness.

Nryth watched in horror as Emerald plummeted to the sea. "Lightning storms..." He dove down after the small owl and caught her in his talons. He gave the smoking owl to Snowrose, who now seemed like a lightning bolt flashing towards the tree.

Myuflc flew up by Aquila, "Emerald... Has been shot down... We must keep fighting... We must win."
