"Whatever." DuskSong mumbled under her breath. Mentoring could be hard.

Orionpaw grumpily trudged out of camp.

DuskSong padded deep into the forest. "Show me your best hunting crouch." She said.

Orionpaw squatted down in a undeniably perfect hunting crouch.

"Good." DuskSong praised. "Lower your tail a bit, but don't touch the ground with it."

Orionpaw felt the urge to lash out at him due to his correction but he did as Ducksong suggested.

DuskSong smiled. "Perfect!" She sniffed the air. "Mouse, just ahead." She whispered, nodding in its direction.

Orionpaw nodded. "I already scented it." he said contemptuously before stalking the small rodent through the light snow on the ground.
When he was about half a fox-length away from it, he pounced on it, squeezing the air out of it and enjoying its helpless wriggling before dealing the fatal bite to the back of its neck.
