And here are all my replies--sorry about the wait! Leah and Naomi are both open if anyone's looking for someone to RP with.}SpencyB wrote:Leopardpaw immediately spun around, her heart pounding. She was determined to please her mentor, this was her motivation. Leopardpaw clumsily stepped back, trying to find a weak spot. She shot forwards, her jaws locking inbetween her neck and shoulder. She hadn't applied pressure.
Miststep grinned. "Good." she said again. "But be careful. You need to focus on defense---" she paused, gently biting at the back of her apprentice's neck, which she'd put within easy reach. "---as much as attack." Letting go, Miststep reached quickly forwards, her paw hooking around Leopardpaw's foreleg and pulling it out from under her. Before the apprentice could react or regain her balance, Miststep twisted away in the opposite direction, then butted her head into her apprentice's shoulder, trying to push her over.Paper-Thorn wrote:-{Boulderstride }-
Boulderstride looked up to Pineclaw heading towards his apprentice and ran up to his side. "Do you mind if I tag along i really have nothing else to do?"
Pineclaw glanced over at her. The younger she-cat seemed to have forgotten about her earlier anger, and once again was acting friendly. "If you can help me find my apprentice, sure." he replied, giving up on trying to understand her. "Her name's Redpaw. I haven't seen her since the ceremony." He looked away, resuming his search.Lightpaw followed the others, her ears twitching at the sounds. They stopped to scent the air, and she fidgeted impatiently. Suddenly remembering her mentor and the clan leader behind her, she stopped moving and raised her head to see what she could smell. The twoleg monster was the most obvious, but there were other scents beneath it. Lightpaw struggled to identify them, but a gust of wind blew them away before she could. She wrinkled her nose, annoyed.Eaglestar followed at the back of the patrol, letting other cats do the leading, for once. Instead, she watched the apprentices, particularly Shadowpaw. She still wasn't quite sure what to think of him, and took the opportunity to see not only his hunting skills but the way he interacted with the other apprentices.Leah, having rubbed even more herbs than usual into her fur to hide her scent, crouched still in the grass near the clan's camp. Whatever they'd all gathered for before seemed to be over, and cats were wandering out of the camp. The camp was less crowded now--but not so empty that another cat arriving would stand out. She wasn't going to get a better chance. She stood, her legs aching from having spent so long crouching. She crept quietly towards the camp, pausing at the edge nearest the fresh kill pile. Taking a deep breath, she straightened her posture and stepped through the grass. Her heart pounded as she entered the clearing, but she forced herself to stay calm. Or at least look calm. She walked purposefully towards the pile, doing her best to look like she belonged. It seemed to take ages to walk the short distance to the pile of prey, but she was there, and she hadn't been challenged. She looked down, trying to decide what to take. No time to think about that. She chose something at random--a mid sized bird. She turned away quickly. She wanted to run, but had to keep up the act. Slowly, she began to walk away.Naomi walked casually through the grass, a chiming sound following her from the belled collar she'd looped around her tail. The house cat she'd gotten it from had been happy to give it to her after the helped get it off him--he said it interfered with his hunting. She was sure she could make something out of it--the collar itself was a lovely red colour, and the bell shone gold. She could remove the bell--stop the sound with a bit of mud, and it would be a perfect addition to the bracelet she was working on. The collar itself might be just what she was looking for as a base for the twoleg charm she'd been saving. Purple and red might just work together, she mused.

SHe vowed softly with a kind and nervous nod towards Duskpaw before carefully going in the direction he had instructed. Softly she pushed her way in and her eyes widened with awe at the many cats she noticed in the clearing, many she'd seen at gatherins but her eyes searched for the mor familiar faces of her former clanmates.
