Frostwing nodded, quite pleased with the answer Viperpaw had given her. "Good job, you are correct. I smell the badger and the two-leg monster, but these scents don't seem to be fresh enough for us to worry. But keep your eyes and ears peeled." She meowed softly, noticing how the small tortie apprentice enjoyed when the wind was blowing away from her, pushing all the scents away from her. "It is nice," She murmured, flicking her tail. "when the wind blows these scents away. However, all it's doing now is blowing our scent to these things. So those rabbits? They smell us. If the badger and monster are still around, they smell us too." She meowed, rolling along some grass to mask her scent. "I suggest you do the same, and then we can continue."

Spiderpaw whirled around when he heard a voice, and grinned up at the other official Medicine Cat when she walked over. "Hey Appleleaf, want to join? We're collecting cobwebs so that the cats with wounds can heal up. I think Frostwing is taking a patrol to the old makeshift camp, so hopefully they'll find some herbs that weren't destroyed. If they can't find any we'll have to go out and hunt for more." He meowed, frowning at this. He didn't want to have to go out and search for more herbs. He was tired and hungry, but he could still do more. As long as my clan needs things, I'll be working, he thought, gathering some more cobwebs.

Duskpaw grinned at the way Raccoonstrike seemed to accept him with no disappointment at the speechless cat. For him anyways he was grateful. He was expecting a somewhat sour cat, or maybe one who won't accept him like he was, or forget him. Nothing was true, and just for a few moments he closed his eyes to let a grin shine on his face. He was happy, and for now not even Grinner or anyone could steal it away. His head then moved up to meet his mentor's yellow-green gaze with his sea of blue shining with delight. Sure will, and trust me I know some moves that will show you I am not that all unexperienced, he said to him with his voice proud and his chest puffing out. A slight thought passed by Duskpaw, and for a few seconds he didn't move. He wondered about his friends, and wondered about them. He knew Viperpaw was strong to handle herself, but he was worried a bit, and for Wolfpaw as well if she would be okay with her paw. The thought passed, and he soon returned to normal statue with his mood the same as before. Yet, like normal he wished to know.

Stormkit

Stormkit looked up when he asked about her name. Her eyes glowed a bit in the sun as a tiny smile came to her face with a brave tone in her voice. "I am Stormkit from Stoneclan," she told a bit proudly at her name, yet her smile dropping as the bird call rang in her ears. She never liked birds at her age. Their large size, and large wings always gave her fears of getting catched by their talons. Yet, when she looked over to Otterkit who looked okay with the call her own fear went down a bit at the sound. Though, if that bird did come she would fight like any cat would. "I am glad you came around Otterkit, and thanks for staying with me," she told softly at him. For her, she was never this afraid of clans before. She was a bit brave, and reckless, and curious, but due to some of the loners out their she became a much more shy, nervous cat. She was broken, but with a friend she might be patched up to be herself again.

{New character! Sorry about the long form; just reused the one I made to adopt her.
I'll post replies for all my characters soon! If anyone wants to start RPing with Naomi, feel free to start something. She's wandering through the grassland at the moment.}

Image
Name: Naomi
Age: 72 moons/6 years
Gender: Female ♀
Species: Maine Coon Mix
Rank: Loner
Original Home: Kittypet
Image/Description: Naomi is a large cat, taller than most others. Her fur is long, thick, and shiny, but a bit coarse. Her ears are relatively small, with slightly tufted tips. She has long whiskers, and her eyes, though not large, are bright and expressive.
Personailty: Naomi is friendly and optimistic. She has many friends, though none of them very close. She tends to act a bit motherly. She can be a little vain, and spends a lot of time grooming her fur. She's curious and adventurous. She hates conflict, and will always try to avoid a fight. She's generally calm. She loves shiny things, particularly jewelry, which she's gotten quite good at stealing from humans. She's creative, and often tries creating her own jewelry out of various materials she's found. They're not nearly as nice as the ones she steals, but she's proud of them anyways. She loves winter, and thinks the snow and ice is beautiful. She hates rain and mud. She wears different jewelry each day, but always keeps two necklaces--a golden, heart shaped locket, and a chain with an old key. The first is from her home, and the second is one of the first, and her favourite of, the things she's made.
Other: Naomi is strong, but not very fast or agile. She's a bit clumsy on land, but loves swimming. She has a habit of kneading the ground when happy, and grooming herself when nervous. Her voice is a bit loud, and she has a hard time speaking quietly.

History: Naomi had a fairly normal childhood. Born to a house cat, she and her siblings lived with their mother until they were old enough to go to homes of their own. She often got in trouble for playing with the human's jewelry, keys and coins, but rather than stopping she merely became better at not getting caught. Naomi was adopted by a small family, who she lived happily with for several years--still stealing and collecting shiny things when she got bored, much to the frustration of her owners and even their neighbors, who couldn't figure out where their keys and valuables were disappearing to.
Image

Things changed when she met a strange cat passing through her yard. She asked if he was new to the neighborhood, but he replied that he was just passing through. Curious about the scent of the forest on his pelt, she began asking him questions about where he'd come from, where he'd been, and where he was going. He was happy to tell her, and, as she listened to his stories, Naomi realized how much of the world she'd been missing out on. The strange cat soon moved on, but the dreams he'd given her had not. She began venturing farther from home than she had before, staying out for longer. She learned to hunt for more than just fun, and soon was able to support herself without help from her human family. This allowed her to stay out for longer, spending her nights outdoors more and more often. Though it took some time, she eventually decided to leave home completely. She said goodbye to her humans--not that they understood her. Not wanting to leave it behind, she brought what she could carry of her collection with her, leaving what she couldn't bring somewhere her humans would find it.
Image

Image
Now, she travels. She still steals, or, as she puts it, collects, jewelry, as well as anything else that catches her eye. She's begun making her own accessories, using materials such as salvaged string and feathers. She often trades these to other cats in return for new materials, food, safe passage through territory, or simply conversation. Naomi has become somewhat well known in the area, and you can find many cats wearing her trinkets.

Cherryleaf smiled at her bouncy little apprentice with a small laugh before looking to the slightly older Mintsplash with a nod for her to be the one to start if she was alright with that.

The tiny she-cat gave a rather unneeded nod at Appleleaf's comment, then twitched her ears at Spiderpaw's voice. Sprucepaw flicked her gaze to him as he spoke, then turned her blue-green gaze back to the medicine cat with a barely apparent look of hope on her face. It would be good to get back with her mentor, even if it was just cobweb gathering. Or more, if they noticed any other types of herbs. She flicked her tail and lowered her paw, not wanting to loose her balance. She swiped at another glistening web while waiting for Appleleaf's response, and shook out her white-swathed leg again.

Image
Raccoonstrike was truly pleased by the look on his apprentice's face; simply happy. It was more than obvious this would be a wonderful cat to train. He seemed open and curious, and willing to learn--but with no fear and laziness that some might have. The idea made the murky brown warrior very excited. Out of all the apprentices he could have received, he had gotten one of the best. Unusual, too, but special with his mind-speaking. "I'd never imagine you weren't." his thought-voice was bolstered by a slight purr. All sorts of training ideas sprang to his mind, and he realized he had no need to worry, with Duskpaw as his apprentice. The tom sat down with a light thump, leaning back on his haunches in a more comfortable stance while they conversed with their minds.

Songbrook laughed alittle,"Normaly, I'm really not bouncy." She stop for a moment and said to the tom,"Is this a good spot to start hunting?" She asked.

{Petalfall's accepted, I'll add her to the front page. ^^
And here are all my replies--sorry about the wait! Leah and Naomi are both open if anyone's looking for someone to RP with.}

SpencyB wrote:Leopardpaw immediately spun around, her heart pounding. She was determined to please her mentor, this was her motivation. Leopardpaw clumsily stepped back, trying to find a weak spot. She shot forwards, her jaws locking inbetween her neck and shoulder. She hadn't applied pressure.

Image
Miststep grinned. "Good." she said again. "But be careful. You need to focus on defense---" she paused, gently biting at the back of her apprentice's neck, which she'd put within easy reach. "---as much as attack." Letting go, Miststep reached quickly forwards, her paw hooking around Leopardpaw's foreleg and pulling it out from under her. Before the apprentice could react or regain her balance, Miststep twisted away in the opposite direction, then butted her head into her apprentice's shoulder, trying to push her over.

Paper-Thorn wrote:

Boulderstride looked up to Pineclaw heading towards his apprentice and ran up to his side. "Do you mind if I tag along i really have nothing else to do?"

Image
Pineclaw glanced over at her. The younger she-cat seemed to have forgotten about her earlier anger, and once again was acting friendly. "If you can help me find my apprentice, sure." he replied, giving up on trying to understand her. "Her name's Redpaw. I haven't seen her since the ceremony." He looked away, resuming his search.

Image
Lightpaw followed the others, her ears twitching at the sounds. They stopped to scent the air, and she fidgeted impatiently. Suddenly remembering her mentor and the clan leader behind her, she stopped moving and raised her head to see what she could smell. The twoleg monster was the most obvious, but there were other scents beneath it. Lightpaw struggled to identify them, but a gust of wind blew them away before she could. She wrinkled her nose, annoyed.

Image
Eaglestar followed at the back of the patrol, letting other cats do the leading, for once. Instead, she watched the apprentices, particularly Shadowpaw. She still wasn't quite sure what to think of him, and took the opportunity to see not only his hunting skills but the way he interacted with the other apprentices.

Image
Leah, having rubbed even more herbs than usual into her fur to hide her scent, crouched still in the grass near the clan's camp. Whatever they'd all gathered for before seemed to be over, and cats were wandering out of the camp. The camp was less crowded now--but not so empty that another cat arriving would stand out. She wasn't going to get a better chance. She stood, her legs aching from having spent so long crouching. She crept quietly towards the camp, pausing at the edge nearest the fresh kill pile. Taking a deep breath, she straightened her posture and stepped through the grass. Her heart pounded as she entered the clearing, but she forced herself to stay calm. Or at least look calm. She walked purposefully towards the pile, doing her best to look like she belonged. It seemed to take ages to walk the short distance to the pile of prey, but she was there, and she hadn't been challenged. She looked down, trying to decide what to take. No time to think about that. She chose something at random--a mid sized bird. She turned away quickly. She wanted to run, but had to keep up the act. Slowly, she began to walk away.

Image
Naomi walked casually through the grass, a chiming sound following her from the belled collar she'd looped around her tail. The house cat she'd gotten it from had been happy to give it to her after the helped get it off him--he said it interfered with his hunting. She was sure she could make something out of it--the collar itself was a lovely red colour, and the bell shone gold. She could remove the bell--stop the sound with a bit of mud, and it would be a perfect addition to the bracelet she was working on. The collar itself might be just what she was looking for as a base for the twoleg charm she'd been saving. Purple and red might just work together, she mused.
