"i am sweating. i am going to go down to the river for a bit." he said, quickly galloping down the hill with his silky mane and tail behind him. he almost smiled....

Bandit
Bandit raised a single brow. Sweating? How pleasant. She blinked her ruby eyes, watching him speed down the hill. She couldn't imagine how he didn't trip, galloping down the steep incline at that rate. Lifting one slender foreleg beneath her, Bandit stamped down again to ward the flies off her silken smooth pelt. It was a long way to the river; surely he'd tire by then. But it didn't matter. Bandit tilted her finely featured head, considering. She was hot and itchy, and she desperately wanted to go for a swim, though it didn't show in her proper, dignified posture or the way she held her head high, standing abreast on the hilltop with the wind flowing through her long mane and tail. If she followed him now, she would be seen as a follower who only meant to please her lead stallion. If she didn't go at all, she would be seen as rude and arrogant, as obviously he wanted someone to follow him.

((Hmm, I just realized Canad and Bandit have posts in the same color. Shall I change hers? I can make it brown like her brindling.))

canad looked back quickly, so bandit would not notice. he wondered if she would come. his sure feet slowed him to a trot, even though he was not tired. he was still at a trot when he reached the river. he walked in slowly, allowing his whole body to get wet. he had too many thoughts in the back of his head. he stuck his dark brown muzzle into the cool water, sucking a few large gulps of fresh, clear water. he lifted his head, the bristly whiskers around his snout dripping with small water drops.

My sharp hearing caught his last words and I felt myself blush a little too. I looked to the new mare, Famous, and thought she looked a little nervous. "I'm going to introduce myself to Famous, i'll be right back." I said and walked away rather slowly, wondering if I should go. I slowed to a stop a few paces away from where she was grazing, I took a deep breath and walked up to her. "Hello, i'm Dolce." I said with a nervous smile.

"I am Skyironic. I am pleased to meet you Heartz." He said, diping his head in a respectful way. Not a drop of flirting in his voice as Skyironic wasn't much for flirting.

Halo

Halo gave a small nod as Skyronic introduced himself. Very respectful to her, no flirty jibber that would most certainly result in a kick to the head. Heartz was only a year old, and this stallion was pretty close to, if not exactly, his own age. It just wouldn't do for him to be flirting with such a young filly... with a small shrug, he arched his neck toward the new mare. His ears perked slightly as she stared after Canad, and his gaze followed hers. The river did look good, if not euphoric to his eyes. He looked back to Heartz and Skyronic. The shallow branch he'd taken Heartz to earlier was far too secluded now, so he thought Canad's idea to take a dip in the river itself was quite appealing. As long as the little filly stayed in the calmer banks, everything would go great. "Hey, the heat is rather blistering, so I'm going to go for a swim with Canad." he told them with an impish grin, swishing his tail up to swat a fly. "Though it would be way more fun if there were several other equids to pelt with water, since I fear Canad may be overwhelmed rather quickly by the new techniques I learned from wild mountain minnow here..." he hinted, strodding off toward the river with that awkward gate he'd picked up. The wind whipped his mane and tail as he picked up speed slightly, the sun creating a radiant sheen atop his black brindling. He was going no faster than a trot when he passed Bandit. He turned slightly to face her as he slowed to almost a stop. "Hello again miss, would you care to join us for an extreme and exilerating attempt at water wars?" he asked with a breath taking smile, his eyes tearing from hers long enought to tauntingly shout over his shoulder. "Hey Heartz! You gonna let an old cripple beat you to the river?" and then he took off at a comicly strained trot. His expression burned with exadurated effort as he raced at a ground eating 5 miles per hour.

Skyironic priked his Ears. "Mind if i join? The water looks and sound quite lovely right now." He said with a humorus voice. His honey golden eyes gliting at the thought of haveing some fun for a change.

canad laughed, picking up halo's words from the hilltop. he was ready to have some fun.

"Sure." Heartz told Skyronic before she ran after Halo and it was long till she cough up with him. She slowed so she was only a few yards in front of him at all times teasing him.

Famous was startled when Dolce came up to her. She hadn't noticed the mare at first. "Hello, I'm Famous."

Bandit's bright gaze turned to the second-in-command again, lightening in the prospect of having a little fun, relaxing and just enjoying the day with her newfound herd after having been so long alone... Her expression darkened momentarily, but she shook off those thoughts. Bandit was not about to let her past bother her on such a day as this. She pricked her ears, looking off at where the stallion was trotting again down the hill. "I think I shall," she replied to him, her lighthearted voice as of a song bubbling on the verge of laughter. Lifting her slender legs gracefully, she moved smoothly down the hill, more of a steady lope or a glide than a trot. She brushed her long, catlike tail over her flanks once or twice, the gait of her long legs increasing as she caught up with the second-in-command. "Hey," she called lightly as she pulled up beside him. "I never caught your name." Little bit of a stretch, but the only Equid whose name she knew was Canad. She couldn't help but laugh at his comical expression, the clear notes rising and falling over each other.
