Bear lead River through a stream and onto dry land. He shook out his fur and started walking again when he heard River say, "Bear? Can we stop for a while? Please? We've been walking nonstop for two weeks. I'm starving!" Bear looked at his scrawny brother. River had never had much muscle or fat. He was just skinny and small. Bear rolled his eyes at his drooling brother. "Fine. Just for a little while. We have to keep moving."

River closed his eyes really tight and dug his claws into the ground. His mouth quivered in the beginning of a snarl but instead he said, "Okay Bear. I won't take long. I promise." He ran off into the woods and quickly noticed a fat rabbit. He leaped with great agility and caught it without a sound. He gulped it down hungrily and chomped a few of the smaller bones afterwards. He quietly returned to his brother and said, "Sorry. I couldn't find much. There were only a few mice and an already dead squirrel." He lied, "We can search for food later. After seeing that rotten squirrel I don't feel like eatring anything.."

Tundra shrugged. "I think I'll be able to walk." she said. Getting up, as she put weight on it, it clicked, and it was back in place. It still hurt, but less, and she was able to walk again. "Or it was just out of place." she muttered, wondering what smart remark Tynamo would make.

[Angry.Jackal]

River walked with his head down behind Bear. He had never lied to his brother before! But he was so hunrgy, and he didn't want to share. He waved his tail nervously. What if his brother found out? He almost whimpered at the thought.

Bear stopped midstep and flicked his ear. "Stop! I hear something." He sniffed the air and growled. Wolf. He stalked forward almost silently, only to be stopped by River. "Bear! We don't need to fight! Maybe we can make friends with these wolves! Why do you always fight?" Bear snarled and clawed his brother's cheek. "Because it's what wolves do!"

River whimpered, tears in his eyes, and laid down on the ground while he watched his brother stalk the others. He pawed his face, crying silently. Sticky blood was running down his face and dripped on the ground next to his tears.

Tundra perked her ears as she heard rustling. "Who's there?" she growled, a wave of protectiveness surging.
