Sunpaw's face brightened up when she saw her fellow apprentice approuch her. "Hey Sharppaw!" She said as he approached her. Sunpaw felt much closer to the tom since he confided with her his unexplained incredible hearing.

Applesong bent down and graciously ate the piece of rabbit he offered her. "I agree, that will be interesting. Normally I wouldn't expect a kitty pet to endure clan life, but I think she is different." She told Stormpatch. Applesong couldn't help but notice how his pelt seemed to shine in the starlight. Realizing she was staring, the she-cat looked down quickly. She hoped that he couldn't see her blush.

"Hey, Sunpaw..." The new experiences weighed heavily on his mind. "Can we go for a walk?" He suggested. Sharppaw wanted to talk more about it, but he didn't want anyone else overhearing them. He was still nervous what others would say if they heard of his power, and only trusted Sunpaw with his secret, knowing she had one of her own.

Stormpatch

Stormpatch was oblivious to Applesong's blushing, but was having feelings of his own. The moonlight was coming down and silverpelt was in full swing, and he saw how her eyes gleamed in the moonlight. She's so beautiful, he thought. He decided he couldn't wait any longer. "Hey, Applesong?" He asked, "Do you want to climb the tree in the middle of camp with me? To the top?" It would be the perfect place.

She was relieved that there was another cat she could talk to. Sunpaw didn't want to think about having to deal with this on her own.

Sharppaw

The apprentice was glad Sunpaw agreed. He had so many thoughts swirling in his head, he had to get some of it out! Sharppaw motioned for her to follow him, leading her out of the camp. It was a beautiful night, Silverpelt high in the sky and the moonlight providing plenty of sight for the two as they walked. "So..." he began, "...do you think there are others who have noticed powers?"

Stormpatch

"Great!" So far, so good. The tom padded to the tree in the middle of camp, swiftly climbing it and settling on a high branch, the moon and stars well in view, waiting for Applesong to follow. This is it, he thought, time to tell her how you feel. The thought both terrified and excited him.
