IceRift gave a smile towards PoppyPaw, her stutter he found in some way amusing. "Alright PoppyPaw, but first thing I need to tell you is that it may be in your nature to be very shy but we can use that against an enemy." With that being said, IceRift racked back in his memory to think of a defensive move, as he had not worked on defensive, his was very poor. "So.. I am not the strongest on defense but I know a few moves that could assist you."IceRift admitted as he turned away from his grey pelted apprentice, taking a few strides he whipped his body around and his icy gaze had settled on her once more. "So what we're going to do is when the opponent is going to aim a swipe towards us, most likely near the face or neck, you then want to duck. Like this." He explained, as he had imagined that a cat had came for a swipe towards his cheek. IceRift had then pushed his chin in to his chest, and then with his paws he lowered himself down. Staying in the same position he raised his chin from his chest. "From here there are two ways to react. You can spring back up and attack them, or you can twist around and afterwards rolling on to your back, after that you'll spring up on your paws, and the reason I kept my chin to my chest is if they had an idea of what you were going to do, they'd aim their swipe in a diagonal way so that they'd still catch your neck. If you put your chin into your chest then they cannot harm you as much. Understand?" He questioned, before raising back upward to a neutral stance.

Poppypaw nodded, knowing she'd have to fight now. Fighting is so hard. Hopefully I'll get this right. The grey she-cat back up as well, wondering who'd start the skirmish. Her green eyes narrowed with though of what she'd do.

:Goldstripe nodded "yes sandstar" she padded into the leaders den. She nodded as she entered and sat down. She wrapped her tail around her paws "How are the other apprentices doing?" She asked.:

Sabdstar's blue eyes were kind. "They're all doing well. Each apprentice is showing their strengths and weaknesses, and we as mentors are teaching them how to better themselves."

Creekpaw nodded. "Okay, sounds good!"

Lunarwing watched Thornstep converse with his Apprentice, then looked to Greypaw. "Why don't we go hunting, then?" She asked, realizing that she was probably better off to teach him that first. He would't be participating in battles anytime soon, and if he got in a quarrel… Well, he could hold his ground, but if her didn't know how to fight, maybe he would pick a wiser decision. Lunarwing would fight if she had to, but she'd rather avoid them.

Honey jumped up on a windowsill, looking out past the fence. she noticed her housefolk going back and forth from inside and out, and they left the door open. She snuck outside and Ran to the fence. She managed to slowly claw her way up, but hesitated to jump down. She took a big breath and leapt forward, stumbling, but landing on her paws. "Oww.." she muttered under her breath since her paws kinda hurt from the jump. She looked around in awe at her surroundings before padding off deeper into the clan's territory.
