Dragonpaw thought for a moment. He remembered seeing birds and how they would always scatter at the slightest thing. "You have to be careful because they can fly and we can't. So it is harder to catch them." he replied. "Hmmmm. is there anything else?" he asked

Servaltooth nodded. "Yes, that's true. So you have to be very quiet and light on your paws. And you must always stay downwind, even if birds can't smell you very well."

Dragonpaw nodded. "Alright. Downwind, silent paws, careful not to be seen." he said committing it to memory. "Bird." Dragonpaw stopped as they entered a small clearing. "Is this place good?" he asked quietly

Servaltooth nodded, and sniffed the air. He motioned for Dragonpaw to do the same.

Dragonpaw nodded and lifted his muzzle. Taking in a good whiff of air he cocked his head, trying to interpret each scent. Nodding his head in response to his own question. He cold smell several different types of prey

Servalttoh whispered, "Go for the birds first. If you can quietly pick them off, then they won't be able to sound an alarm call to alert the other prey."

Dragonpaw nodded. He had only hunted once before but quickly replaying the proper stance in his head he slunk down and around. Creeping through the undrebrush he came upon a robin eating a worm. Creeping forward he pounced, claws unsheathed and teeth sinking into it's throat.

Servaltooth's tail curled up in pleasure when he saw Dragonpaw make the catch.
