SunClan's Story [New Thread]

Viperpaw's ears twitched as she looked at their mentors for a moment before following after Shadowpaw with a grin on her face. "Psh, sure ya will!," she mewed, her golden eyes gleaming with the idea of a challenge. She nodded when she listened to FrostWing's words for a moment before padding beside Shadowpaw. "Bet you won't catch as much as me," she challenged with a playful sniff. She paused for a moment however, the scent of something familiar blowing through the breeze and for a moment she was stupififed, but then she shook her head. It couldn't be, she told herself silently. There was no way Demon was around here. And yet her nose twitched still at it. 'I must be mouse-brained.'

But as it turned out Demon was in fact nearby, resting on Leah's nest still. The scarred tom's fur was freshly groomed and he looked younger than he appeared. His amber-orange eyes gleamed with new light as he lifted his head, and let out a yawn sharp fangs glimmering in the sun. "Hmm, I think it's about time for hunting. Perhaps that scrap of mismatched fur'll come by again," He mewed referring to Leah before getting to his paws with a thoughtful flick of his tail. He was still for a moment, and then he was gone. Through the golden grass he went, not caring if he left a scent.

Otterkit's tail flickered about as he smiled warmly. "Sure if you want. And yeah I guess I can understand that," He mewed with a calm, thoughtful tone. He looked down at her paw and winced slightly, before looking up at her. And then he realized something. "Say...you never told me your name. Heck I never told you mine!" He shook his head at himself before getting to his paws. "The name's Otterkit, and I'm from Sunclan. But who are you?" He asked curiously as he looked at her. His ears twitched lightly as he heard the call of a bird in the distance, but he supposed it wasn't really anything much since it was so far away.

DuskBlaze let out a soft purr at the kit's antics.She remembered when the Rainclan nursery had been this lively and it warmed her heart. "I'm sure you'll impress her, one day with your learning, young Coalpaw," she mewed with an indulgent smile. Looking down at Littlekit she gently ran her tongue over the young kit's fur and began to groom the shy kit gently. She felt a stirring in her belly and braced herself for a kick, but it never came. Instead her unborn kits seemed at ease today and that made the calico queen's day.

ThistleFang nodded. "Good, I'm glad to see you found someone to look after them." He gave a rare, smile and a nod before getting to his paws. "Now then what is it that you feel you need to work on? Hunting? Battle moves? Tracking perhaps?" The amber eyed tom listed each one as he looked at his new apprentice inquiringly.

Sprucepaw froze, her paw just about to attack another cobweb. Pricking up her silvery ears, she turned her head to see her mentor Appleleaf moving nearer. She blinked with delight--having not acquainted with the medicine cat for a bit, she had missed the company of her mentor. It seemed they had both been busy with other tasks. Wrapping her paw up in the second web, she stumbled towards the older she-cat and gazed warmly up at her. "Hello, Appleleaf!" she mewed softly, though happiness laced her tone. She brandished her paw towards Appleleaf, as if showing what she had been doing. The cobwebs glittered on her paw in the sunlight.

The mottled tom blinked down at the apprentice, his nose twitching slightly as he breathed in the scents. There was a moment of silence, in which Duskpaw's tail gently touched the warrior's paw. Raccoonstrike's ears pricked as a voice sounded in his mind, a deep but friendly-sounding voice. He immediately knew it was the dark apprentice's voice. Raccoonstrike had heard, maybe, of Duskpaw's strange way of communication but it had never occurred to him as a mind voice. Still, he was curious and excited. Mentoring might be a challenge, but it would be fun too. The patched warrior gave a gentle swish of his tail and formed a reply in his mind--it seemed the obvious thing to do. "I see this will be interesting." He gave his new apprentice a calm smile. Alerted by movement, his eyes then flicked to Wolfpaw, and he returned her nod as she darted away. His pale yellow-green gaze moved back to Duskpaw.

Mintsplash was filled with joy to know that she finally had an apprentice. Loudpaw was an excellent young tom, and based off of his wounds, he sure seemed brave and loyal. Mintsplash's eyes glittered when they touched noses-she was going to try her best to teach Loudpaw right. "I'm honored to be your mentor, Loudpaw." she quietly says to the apprentice. His wounds were serious, so perhaps they could start with just exploring the territory,or something like that. "How about we can explore the area around the camp, so that you can start off a little easy because of your wounds?" she mews.

Shadowpaw stared down at his paws for a moment. Yea, you probably would... he thought sadly. But he made an effort to keep his spirits up. "Haha, Viperpaw, you may catch more prey than me, but I could beat you in a fight anytime!" he bet tot he she-cat. Shadowpaw was quite unsure of his statement, because he was a young apprentice still. But, he couldn't tell her that he was THAT inexperienced, right? His gift of speed did save him from the fire, so that must've counted for something. Race! I should've said race! Well, it's too late now.

Appleleaf was joyed to see her apprentice again, after they had not worked together for quite some time with tasks keeping them busy. Greeting Sprucepaw with a quick lick to the ear, "Gathering some herbs are we?" She smiled warmly. Her apprentice was a very quick learner, she already had a good pile of usable cobwebs.
