Ashpaw followed quietly, his tail fluffed with excitement and his eyes bright

Silentpaw watched as Marshpaw curled himself around Sunpaw and gently licked her ear. She purred a bit at the sight but sadness filled her heart. Ever sense she was little her mother told her it was going to be impossible to have a mate, since she could never tell him anything. She believed her but she didn't care much. As long as she was there for her clan.

Sunpaw relaxed, her breath still coming in gasps, but the shaking was calming down until it was a light shiver. With a last look at MArshpaw, she gave in to sleep.

Raccoontail laid his tail upon Foxpaw's shoulder. "Will you tell us" He asked gently, knowing how much it pained Foxpaw

"Of course PepperStar, well take care of this." Crowflight winced at the thought of killing kits but she knew it was nessessary. Better them then us.... she thought. Turning to Raccountail she smiled, although the smile didn't reach her eyes. "I guess we should kill it now." She mewed, glanceing over at the badger, "do you want to do it or would you like me to?" She asked him.

Foxpaw shook her head and looked up at Raccoontail. "I could show you." she replied quietly, closing her eyes, hating herself for doing this.

Pepperstar let out a sigh, and began to head off in the direction of the camp. She knew that it was cruel to kill innocent badger kits, but when they grew up, they could be a huge threat and possibly throw Leafclan back into the ruins like it was all of those moons ago. She shook her head, and continued her way forward, dodging lone twigs and pricks in the ground.

" No Foxpaw you cant, one apprentice had been hurt today already and I dont want another getting hurt as well if I can help it, just tell us where to find the cubs, we can handle it from there."

Raccoontail dipped his head and touched her ear with his nose. "Thank you Foxpaw. It takes a true warrior to do what your doing" He then straightened up. "I could kill it quickly if you want" He dipped his head to Hollyfur

Foxpaw nodded numbly and got up. "It's this way." she almost whispered. She walked towards the border, then turned to a huge tree. She pointed to a thick bush that was right up against the tree. "The entrance is just under the back of the bush. If you go in through here," she walked to the front of the bush, "you'll be able to get in easily."

Tangletail hissed "I will kill the badger, if none of you can" he said his voice seethed with emotion. these beasts killed his mother, his brother, his sister just helpless kits like he was. He stalked over to the unmoving mass, "Ashpaw" he said "I want you to learn from this" he said flexing his claws against the ground. he leaped over the badger, his long legs making the motion effortless. with a distainful expression, he placed a paw on the back of the beast's skull and turned it slightly then placed a paw where the ridge that ran along its back connected to its head and snapped down on the tender joint. A small crack resounded and a sparrow fluttered from a nearby bush as the badger's eyes opened and it thrashed for a few moments then lay still. he snorted with distain and looked up his eyes as hard and cold as ice "It is dead, and I used every ounce of mercy in doing so" he said running his ice-like gaze across the other cats as the badger's memories plaged his waking mind from that deadly last touch. He looked back at Ashpaw "the ridge that runs along a cats back is his most vulnerable place, guard it well and it may save your life" he said his voice softening slightly to the young tom.
