SunClan's Story [New Thread]

Echostep squeaked as she was kicked off and crouched wondering if maybe she attacked the wrong cat "no it is you! ya its me! how did you survive?!" she asked padding closer sniffing him to make sure it was really him and not some look alike that knew her name, she felt her heart thump against her chest, she was happy to see one of her clan member that almost brought tears to her eyes.

Swallowpaw smiled seeing his sisters and brother introduce themselves "yes, you know the tom Spiritblaze, please do not let him speak to the kits or get near them" he mewed hoping she would listen and not ask, the kits still didn't know about there parents yet so he wanted to keep it hidden from them as long as possible, even if they did hate him in the end.

{Let the clans separate again? Well, I plan to see what happens. I won't be forcing it, one way or another. Though I am hoping to wait until we get to the forest before starting any plots like that. C: }

Shadowpaw's grin widens, glad that they could start. They could start! And he could finally meet all of the other apprentices! He had longed for new friends for a long while now, or so it seemed. But his smile soon turns into a face of uncertainty. "Well, actually, I'm not very far...at all. My past mentor wasn't able to teach me much more than how to catch scents. the fire came days after I became an apprentice." he says sadly, recalling all the losses.

Pebblerun shot Pineclaw a warning glance. Yes, Eaglestar could make mistakes like all cats, but he didn't have to go so hard on her. She turned her attention back onto Eaglestar. " Would you two like to join Frostwing, Lightpaw, Viperpaw, and myself on our little patrol?" She asked.

"That's fine." Eaglestar reassured him. ""I can teach you." She looked up as Pebblerun approached. She nodded as she heard the deputy's suggestion. "Sure." she replied, glancing over at the others. "Where did you plan to go?"

The white she-cat watched as Pebblerun went off to deal with some problems. Being a deputy sure seemed like hard work, and it probably took a lot of skill and focus. Frostwing doubted she would ever be able to hold up such a rank. Once the tortie she-cat was gone, Frostwing thought for a few moments, looking down at Lightpaw and Viperpaw. "Considering we don't own any of this land, exploring the territory here wouldn't be the smartest thing to do.. I suggest learning how to hunt first. Basic hunting skills will go a long way now that many of us are injured and aren't eating as much as they need too." She meowed softly, flicking her tail.

Lightpaw wrinkled her nose slightly. She already knew how to hunt. Sort of. Besides, hunting is boring! She'd much prefer a fighting lesson. Still, she supposed it had to be done.

Echostep wonderd into the camp and froze when she saw a familiar pelt "Pineclaw? Is that you?" she stepped closer seeing her friend and gasped "Pineclaw!" she tackled the Tom "how did you live?!" she squealed happy to see a familiar face.

Pineclaw hissed in surprise as he saw an unfamilar cat jump at him. Instinctively, he twisted around, kicking her off him. He crouched, ready to pounce, then blinked, finally noticing who it was. "Echostep?" he said with disbelief.

"I think I'm a pretty good hunter..but I have trouble with fighting." She sighed, "I just feel bad fighting against my clan mates. I know it's just training but I can't seem to get into the fight.." Leopardpaw looked down at her tail. She realized how much her anger and dying urge to please drove her to fight. While she was training she simply had no motivation. The only time she ever pinned her opponent was if they had accidentally caused her pain.

Miststep nodded sympathetically. "Fighting's never been a strength of mine, either." she admitted with a blink. "But I will do my best to teach you. Now, let's go..." she trailed off, realizing she knew nothing of the land around the temporary camp. "Do you know any good training places? We'll want somewhere quiet, without distractions. Soft ground, like sand or moss, would also be helpful. Perhaps near the river?"

Pebblerun started padding back over to Frostwing and the apprentices. " Actually, I was letting Frostwing choose as she was the one to ask Lightpaw and I." She meowed. As she got closer, she turned her attention to the white she-cat. " So, what are we going to be doing?" She asked.

Frostwing paused as Eaglestar and her apprentice came over, for it seemed the leader was also joining the patrol. This seemed to cause the she-cat to be a bit nervous. She was the only regular warrior, on this patrol. The rest were apprentices and then there was the Deputy and Leader. Not to mention she was the one giving out orders for the moment. "Well, considering we don't have a set territory, showing them around wouldn't be the best thing to do. I was thinking that we would focus on hunting, since the clan does need more prey. Also, since they are older then six moons, it would be smart to see how far they are in their hunting training." She meowed softly, looking at Eaglestar and Pebblerun to see if they approved.

Pebblerun nodded. " That sounds good." She meowed. " Shall we head out then?" She asked, looking around her. She had noticed how uncomfortable Frostwing became when Eaglestar came over. She is the only regular warrior on this patrol. She thought. Maybe while they were out, she could make Frostwing more... comfortable.

Emberflight laughed slightly, flicking her tail at the black and white tom's nose tauntingly as he made it up beside her. "Able to keep up?" she asked in her flirtatious tone, as she batted her eyelashes. "Nah, I'm kidding. I've been doing this... every day I've been out of the medicine cat den." Her voice dropped a bit in gusto, and she turned her gaze away from Crookedtail. "I've... Been trying to see any sign of my brother. I might be able to see him from the horizon, if he..." She trailed off, and brightened her gaze with effort. "Never mind. The clan comes first."

He could hear Silverkit whining in the background and laughed," Soon you'll have a mentor and all of the apprentices to play with. Don't worry. It'll come soon enough!"He turned back to Emberflight. Crookedtail, had he the guts, would have made a comment back, but decided for the best to keep his mouth shut. "Perfectly able." He replied somewhat dryly, but regretted his tone. "It's good exercise." He chipped in, smiling at her. He pinned his ears down," I'm sorry to hear that. May StarClan grant him the power to find us." He dipped his head at her. He fell silent after that, and decided to hold his tongue.

He listened at the sound of a bird fluttering it's wings and turned his ears. He jumped down from the tree quickly, and mostly quiet, though a thump was heard from his landing. The bird, now located on the ground a few fox-lengths in front of him made no try to escape as he leaped with outstretched paws and landed on the bird. He gave it a quick bite to the neck and it was finished. Smirking, he quickly buried it for later to pick up, and turned to look at Emberflight. " You going to stay in the tree all day like a squirrel, or come hunting?" He joked, flicking his tail in her direction.

(If it's cool with Calico, Crookedtail would be her mentor, and is it okay if Silverkit(paw) comes with Crookedtail and Emberflight to hunt?)

Duskblaze cocked her head at the strangest request, but nodded. "I'll admit I am curious as to why I shouldn't let him see them, but I'm guessing you have you're reasons so I'll keep them under control until you get back," she mewed calmly back to the tom. She had to wonder what all this was really about though because it honestly didn't make sense to the queen. 'Unless something happened between them all,' she thought as she glanced down at the three young kits now in her care. The calico she-cat couldn't help smiling a bit. They were adorable little creatures.

Viperpaw's tail flickered impatiently. 'Yes can we?' she asked silently as she got to her paws. She was a little surprised to find out that Eaglestar and her apprentice, Shadowpaw was it?, were coming along, but she supposed she shouldn't have been really. "Hello Shadowpaw," she mewed politely remembering the tom when he'd come over to talk just the other day. Deciding to help the tom fit in seemed to be a good thing to do. After all no one liked being the outcast much.

Leopardpaw thought for a moment, "There's a spot by one of the streams." she smiled eagerly, "That's where we get moss. It's not far from here." Leopardpaw spun around, planning the way to travel. Absent mindedly she spoke, staring out at the territory beyond, she could almost see the cool water. "There isn't much prey, so we won't be distracted, and nobody will hunt there.." Leopardpaw continued with her usless mumbling, "..I think they've collected the last batch of moss for a while." She spun around, looking up at her mentor. "So I suppose it's a perfect spot?" she meowed, her tone was unsure, it was almost a question.

( I'm still going to make headshot for myself, I just haven't had much time with the holidays and everything. :P )

"Oh, hi!" Shadowpaw pipes. "Viperpaw, right?" he asks, although he was positive that Viperpaw was her name. It never hurt to be polite, right? Or...was that considered polite? Oh, what did it matter-he was talking. "So, I heard that Pebblerun is your mentor, right?" he meows casually.
