"Do you even listen to yourself when you talk?" Cloudgaze stepped forward so that her nose was practically touching Stripestar's, "Just because I'm blind doesn't mean I am stupid Stripestar. I have to push you away just to get some time to myself. You've been acting like a jealous little kit ever since Leopardstripe and I became friends and can never take a hint when I want some alone time." Her voice fell into a near whisper as she added, "Do you have such little faith in me that you would think I would cheat on you behind your back?" She shook her head before she said in a more level tone, "I'm sick and tired of it. I can't be with a cat who doesn't trust me. I'm done Stripestar, we're done." Cloudgaze turned back towards Mousekit's body so that she could crouch beside it again.

Leopardstripe's mouth opened. He wasn't expecting that. He leaned went to the other side of Mousekit and laid down by him.

Hearing the sounds of mourning quickly turn into an argument, Rabbitfur leaped to his paws and returned to the nursery, looking inside. He was disgusted at the scene, but he didn't dare enter. Cloudgaze was sorting things out despite all of this.
"You two ..." His heart lurched in his chest and he dipped his head respectfully to his Clan leader. "Stripestar," he added quickly. "Couldn't this be brought ... outside? There is a mother and litter trying to mourn. If there must be a dispute, I ... firmly believe it should be taken elsewhere. Not- ... not here." He hoped, at least, he could lead Stripestar aside.
