Cootrunner nods. "We don't have many warriors currently, but a ton of apprentices. The warriors without apprentices are probably in reserve for the kits." She looks down at Flamingkit. "Just think, I might mentor you!" She smiles, then turns back to Tom. "Have you eaten yet?"

Flamingkit cast Cootrunner a slight smile before pressing against Soaringbird, her eyelids drooping until her eyes were half-closed. The young she-kit loved taking naps, and was usually grumpy when she got woken up.

"When I first came to the clan, the whole clan trained me as well." Soaringbird mewed to the tom. "I was a loner before I came here, so I understand how you're feeling."

Tom nodded to Soaringbird. "Thank you. I guess if I need anything, I'll come to you first." He looked to Cootrunner and shook his head, his stomach growling from not getting any food. "Not quite yet. Have you? We could share, if you don't mind."

Tom laughed to himself. "It's pretty weird, but I like fish or lizards, so whatever you want would be fine!" He remembered the first time he tried a lizard.

"Ew, what is that!" Tom shouted, looking down at the scaly thing. "Calm down, it's food, all right? Do you feel like starving?" The older rouge told him, sliding the lizard back towards him. "Fine..." He took a small bite, the tasty juices filling his mouth. "Where has this been all my life!"

"Well, I don't know about lizards, since they don't like the chill from the mountains, but Puddlestar does enjoy fishing!" The padded to the pile, snagging the fish that the blue leader had caught earlier that morning. She brings it back to Tom, dropping it at the ground near his paws. "You want first bite?"

Tom was about to take a bite when Cootrunner asked. Manners, Tom! Manners! He took a few small, delicate bites and allowed Cootrunner to have the rest. He remembered last time he got food and ate a lot of it all at once, he didn't have his lunch a few minutes later.

Cootrunner frown at the small peice he took. Maybe he isn't hungry. No, look at his ribs. He is trying to be nice. Well, teo can play at that game! She clawed the fish in half, keeping the smaller peice for herself and nudging him the larger one. "Here, you need it more than I do." She didn't want to make it obvious that he looked starving, but she couldn't let a cat stay that skinny. She crouches down, sinking her fangs into the half she kept, letting the fishy juice seep over her tongue with a soft purr.

Tom forced smiled, slowly eating the fish. He felt terrible... He hadn't caught anything, but here he is. Eating a fish that their leader had caught. He should have given the whole fist to Cootrunner, who he assumed hunted for everyone else too. Why not Puddlestar eat it? All Tom knew was that he should not have this fish... But it tastes so good... "Thank you, Cootrunner." He simply said, licking his paws.
