Featherstar licked her maw as she finished her meal. She flicked her ears as she heard a cat approach. She looked up to see Flint and sat up, gazing at him thoughtfully. "Alright, go join the others. I'll be there in a moment." She meowed calmly.

Moonpaw nodded and scratched at the earth beneath her paws. She stretched and yawned.

Flint nodded and meowed, "Thanks." as he padded over to the center of the camp.
He glanced around the clearing, trying to get a glimpse of Nightshade or Tigerclaw. I'll just go settle, He mewed, padding to some shade near the entrance. They're going to come to me.
Flint licked himself clean as he thought about how he was going to act in the Clan. So far, he had no plans of doing anything he had done last time. He liked the idea of being a apprentice again in the Clan he'd wished but would he really be able to pass the patrol test?

Sagetail woke up as she realized she had a dream. Her fur was fluffed out and her tail shot straight up. She shook her head to get the ideas out of her head. Getting out of the den, she glanced around the clearing. Sagetail didn't usually come out of the den since it made her paws hurt and everything sore. She limped across to somewhere with sunlight beaming across it as she sprawled herself out on the ground. "I love Greenleaf. I hope it never goes away." She meowed, feeling the sun rays on her fur.

They tried followed the trail of cat scent toward a even stronger scent of cats. Maybe this is a gathering spot? But I really don't care as long as they can tell us some good hunting spots. Rose Bullet thought picking her way gingerly across the forest floor. She noticed that the trees were thinning into an open meadow.

Featherstar got up and stretched, peering up at the sky for the rising sun. It was still quite early. She got up and padded over to where the cats were gathering for the dawn patrol. She sat next to her clanmates and waited for everyone to be gathered and ready.

Moonpaw looked at Claytail after seeing Featherstar go to the patrol cats gathering. "Hey Claytail, Featherstar is organizing the cats. Should we head over there now?" She meowed curiously.

Claytail smiled, finishing his mouse in one bite. "Yeah, we should get over there. ALso, you really should eat something when we get back, since you didn't already. You'll be surprised how much energy you use on long days like this." He smiled sweetly before padding towards Featherstar. "Good sun-up, Featherstar," Claytail meowed. "Do you think Moonpaw and I can join morning patrol?"

Featherstar looked at Claytail and Moonpaw and smiled. "And a good sun-up to you as well." She purred. "Of course you may both join. Claytail, I was expecting you to join regardless. You've always done well with the patrols."

Moonpaw nodded. "Yes, Claytail. I'll get something when we come back." She mewed. When he started walking to their leader, she walked by his side easily.

Claytail bowed his head, still slightly unaccepting of the praise. He wasn't the best at patrolling, he knew e could miss a lot of visual stimuli, and he really had to pay attention to what he did. "Who else will be joining us?" He asked, wondering if the leader herself might be on the patrol this morning.

"Tigereye, Nightshade, and Flint." Featherstar meowed then hesitated. "Ah, if need be I might join too." She spoke slowly, flicking her ears then leaned closer to Claytail. "I know eyesight isn't your best trait, but you use your other senses to your advantage." She mewed quietly then leaned back acting like she never said anything.

Claytail was slightly taken aback. Did the suddenly large amount of praise from Featherstar have to do with the fact he had an apprentice? He hadn't really thought about how he might affect the young cat. One of the names on the list bugged him. "Flint? The loner that was kicked out of the clan? Why is he on a patrol?"
