Veiled by a Song: PM to Join (Fox RP)

[Lady Saga]

If foxes could grin hers would spread all across her face. She was not such a failure after all! She was proving her worth to herself and the leash. Maybe, things would work out after all. Of course there were so many things that could still go wrong, she shouldn't get so caught up in herself.

But then Copper was there, and she turned away from Phantom to nip playfully at him. "It was the smallest one there though...thank you." She was very glad that he had seen, much more than if she had failed. But whatever she was going to say was cut off by the alarm and the howls in the distance. Her eyes widened and she shifted nervously. "Wolves? Surely they wouldn't come here? Right? There's no reason?" She turned to Copper and Phantom.

Copper's three tails stood up straight in alarm. He looked to Sadira, "I don't know what the wolves would do, but we have to get back to camp right away! Stay near me, I'll protect you." The warrior apprentice grabbed Sadira's duck and started running, making sure she was by his side the whole time.

Soul continued to pace. "Yes, you're right," he said to Leaf Fall, "It'll be much better if they don't come to the camp. We need the hunters and alchemists to stay here. I have an idea of what we're going to do." Soul anxiously waited for the others to reach the safety of the camp.

"Good job!" Phantom said, with a little grin. But the smile faded swiftly. "I hear someone calling everyone." He sniffed the air, wolves! "Wolves. Sadira, let's get back to camp, before they come!"

Hope nodded, and was about to say what the leaves where, until yelling came from outside the den. "What..? Happening?"

[Sidewind]

"Ya I guess it is" Creo walked up to Flare after Raven finished wiping the juice of. He picked a strawberry to show Flare how to do it and then ate it.

Flare held still as Raven wiped the juice of and watched carefully as Creo and Raven demonstrated. Then he picked one and ate it just as Creo had done.

[keydemon]

Ryuu burst into camp, panting heavily. "I'm here, what should we do?"

"Wolves are coming." Shiko said briskly, continuing to sort through the herbs.

There was little she could say to the wisdom of Phantom and Copper's words so she just ran. Hunters did not fight and she saw no reason to stop now. They said nothing as they moved quickly back to camp, though she was pleased to note that both Copper and Phantom stayed near her. Maybe she did have friends after all. She was panting as they made it tot he clearing, a little less nervous than before now that she was back in familiar territory.

This was home, even the big bad couldn't hurt them here...only when sleeping but that still was not physically here, in their home.

Copper entered the camp side by side with Sadira. He couldn't bring himself to sit down so instead he stood and shifted from foot to foot as Soul began to talk, all the while one of his tails resting on Sadira.

Soul stopped pacing and jumped up on the stump to address the foxes, "We need to go to them before they come here, we can't have them attacking us in our own home. Creo, Ryuu, Jupiter, and I will go and attack the wolves. Yuri will accompany us in case we need him to send a message back to the camp. Leaf Fall and Shiko are in charge while I'm gone. Copper, Kyubi, and the hunters ((Phantom, Jakei, and Iris)) will do their best to protect the camp. Flare and Sadira will help Shiko and Hope if they need assistance. We're strong, well fed, and we have Kinari on our side. We can do this. We'll leave once everyone arrives." Soul jumped off the stump and beckoned to Yuri.

Ryuu's fur bristled, he prepared himself to go and attack the wolves.

Yuri hurried over to Soul, "Yes?" he asked.

Copper pressed up against Sadira before running over to Ryuu, "Is there anything specific I need to know? Anything defensive you can teach me really fast?"

Soul's green eyes stared solemnly into Yuri's. "If things start to go wrong, I need to know that you'll do as I say, and that you'll be able to communicate to the leash on my behalf," he said, "Can I count on you to stay focused and calm?"

She shifted nervously, resting her one tail across one of Copper's. She eyed Soul and the others as he spoke. Was it wise to go to the wolves? What if they merely passed by them or went in search of easier prey? She shut her mouth though, holding back the questions that she wanted to say. What if they got hurt! Shiko would not be able to heal everyone even with the help of her apprentice. But that was thinking negatively and she did not want to do that now. Besides what if Zargon drew power from that? She was hardly qualified in regards to the spiritual but ...it was better to be safe than sorry.

"I'm going to go see if Shiko may need anything right now. Thank you for staying with me." She said the words quickly to his retreating back. It was alright if he did not hear. She headed over to Shiko. "How can I help?"
