She smiled happily and glanced down at her claws which were sheathed in her small, innocent-looking paws. She flexed them tentatively and gouged small scratches in the soil, then looked up interestedly at Wildfire. "Okay, how do i start?"

Wildfire came to a tree that was smothered in moss, "We'll be collecting moss." he looked at her, "I know it's not ideal, but it takes more strength then you would think."

She raised her eyebrows skeptically. "Not to question your authority, but what will this moss be used for?" She stepped over the the tree daintily and prodded the moss with a paw. It was soft and cool, and she extended a claw and ripped out a small piece. After doing so, she pushed it out in front of her and lowered her head, narrowing her eyes to inspect if further. She discovered that it smelled like rain and musty caves mixed together and looked up at Wildfire curiously.

Wildfire smiled, "The medcine cats use them for soaking up herbs and water, while we can also use them for bedding." he extended a long claw cut under, "you want to make sure you don't get any roots caught in there, okay?"

"Okay." She smiled and trotted over the the trunk where she stood on her hind legs, placing her front paws up on the side of the tree. She flexed her claws and began to rip off the moss in a single large piece. She winced slightly as her claw snagged a root and pulled back, sticking her paw in her mouth and sucking on it. "Iths Ohkeh," she responded to Wildfire's worried glance. She pulled her paw out of her mouth and shook it a few times before returning to her moss piece. After a few more tries, it peeled away from the tree bark and crumpled in the dirt in front of her. Songpaw stepped back with a satisfied expression and looked over at Wildfire. "Is that okay?"

Foxheart strode through the forest thinking maybe because he always hunted well he never got stuck with the tedious things like border patrols but decided to explore the border anyway

wildfire nodded, "just make sure not to hurt yourself to much. I don't need you hurt." he sat and started watching her. "we'll need a few more."

"Okay, sure!" She responded agreeably then walked over to a different part of the tree and began ripping off moss, this time more carefully. Soon, the moss peeled away with a soft tearing sound and she dragged it the rest of the way by grasping it in her mouth. She pulled back, wrinkling her nose at the fibers caught between her teeth and looked over at Wildfire before moving on to the third piece.

wildfire inspected her work, he pulled out a few roots but the newest one their was no root. He smiled and rolled up the moss.

She finally succeeded in peeling away the moss and stood several pawsteps away, panting slightly. "Is that enough?" She asked, twitching hertail towards the heaped moss. Flexing her claws, Songpaw noticed they still appeared needle sharp.
