Swanfoot whispered, tilting her head. She pressed her nose into the starry cat's pelt with sadness. "I understand, but what I don't understand is why? Why did you kill yourself? You had a loving mate who is a father, and kits that need you. They miss you, and they want you. They don't know where you've gone, but they want to come with you." Swanfoot said, tears running down her face. She listened to the dead cat's next words. "But look at the cost!" Swanfoot cried. "Rowanlog is breaking in two. He's trying to hide it from his kits while taking it out on other warriors, including myself. Applekit is obviously unhappy, and Ivykit supports her in her quest to blame everything on Rowanlog. They think that he didn't love you because he was never around them and wasn't crying for you. Your brother wants to change Lionkit's name to Deathkit." she sobbed, not knowing how she knew that. The white cat hadn't been there to witness any of those events.
It's this place... Sorrow and a tint of pity tainted her voice, eyes, and face. A bit of a shadow covered her pelt, her watery eyes turning a dark blue. "They needed you, and you left them!" the white cat said, reluctantly stepping off of Lionlight. "I don't understand! If you wanted to help your kits then why did you leave them? They all needed you more than ever!" Swanfoot whispered, tears streaming from her eyes.
Wait, this should be a happy moment in my life. I'm seeing, before my eyes, two dead cats. One of them, my good friend, and the other is something even closer than that. I should be leaping with happiness. The white cat suddenly stepped forwards, licking Mossheart's ear. "We shouldn't be arguing." Swanfoot mewed, stepping away. "We can't change the past, and what happened was in no way under my own control. I may not agree with you, but that is my opinion." she sniffled, stopping her tears. The white cat turned around, smiling weakly at Lionlight.

He loved her. He loved her more than we ever knew. Applekit pressed her nose to her dead, and living, family's noses and trailed off after Rowanlog.
Not a single one of us needs alone time right now. She found him in the warrior's den, weeping over a nest. The kit curled up behind his head, little tears streaming from her eyes.
