Sandstar blinked at the tom. Was he really striking up a conversation with her? "Good, if you like being stressed out every day." She flicked anbear as a bug flew by. "And how's loner life?"

Stormpaw nodded to him and gave him a smile as he listened to her idea. The small apprentice just hoped there would be flowers there still; it had been a few moons. Slowly, but surely, she padded through the woods, trying to match the large warrior's pace; however, her efforts were useless and every few pawsteps she'd have to pick up pace for a few more steps to be lined up with him once more. No conversation came to her, so the pair walked in silence for a while.

The leader nodded in agreement. "It is. I never get to have a normal conversation at home." Her tail tip twitched. It was true, all cats said "Sandstar this" or "Sandstar that." It was never "Hey Sandstar want to go patrol?" Or anything like that. It all changed when she became leader.

He felt as if he completely understood. "Yeah, the one good thing about being a loner is that everyone sees us equal." He hesitated. "But we have a stereotype. Most clan cats think we steal prey, are lazy, and just live alone. Most cats don't like us." He shrugged before continuing on, "But I'm not like that. I'd perfer not to be alone."

Sandstar crinkled her nose. That was partially true. Most loners stole prey or caused trouble. "You know..." the leader trailed off, knowing that her clan would probably not agree with her. "You could join the clan."
