Spiritblaze took one last look at his kits before nodding "alright let's head out" he flicked his tail as he padded out of the camp with a sigh "so Songpaw tell me about yourself" he mewed.

"Well...." She started,"I was born a loner with my sister Mistypaw and a brother named Dawn and when you guys found me after the fire you had, I was only 2 & 1/2 moons. I'm nearly blind, but my paws take over my site, and fighting is going to be abit hard. And I'm glad to finely have a mentor." She purred.

stonekit walked the other way and began to bound around with his eyes closed but stopped after smashing into ( crookedtail) "I'm sorry " be quickly mewed as he got back up to his paws

"Maybe I'll join you. If you don't mind, of course." Emberflight meowed to Crookedtail, her royal blue eyes sparkling. She hadn't done much for the past few moons at the makeshift camp other than letting her burns heal and watching the horizon for a trace of the brother she once lost. She owed it to those who survived to not to live in the past and search for something that wasn't there. She had even had her name changed to honor those who had died in the fire, the embers left burning from the fire, and the clan who had joined together in the flight to a new life.

Silverkit tipped her head to one side, pretending to be confused although she knew what acquaintance meant. "Me too! What does acquaintance mean?"

Crookedtail didn't notice until the last minute, and was knocked over by a little kit. He 'oofed' in surprise as he sat himself back upright. "It's fine." He smiled, gazing at both kits before him. Silverkit answered him, and he replied," Acquaintance means someone that you just met, and are now familiar with.". He dipped his head to Emberflight at her suggestion. " Sounds like a plan." He flicked his tail, and tucked it around himself, waiting for the next clan-mate to talk.

"Oh. Okay then. I want to be an apprentice and then a warrior, to grow all big and strong!" she mewed, cringing so slightly. She wanted not to be a warrior but to be a leader, but now, that wasn't a very pleasant reply, was it?

Spiritblaze looked at the shecat sadness in his eyes, he felt bad for the shecat untill she lifted his spirits(lol) with her saying she finally had a mentor, he nudged her softly "well im glad i have a fun and bouncy apprentice like you" he chuckled before looking ahead thinking of his dead mate and how she laughed along with her smile.

Boulderstride dipped her head, "I wish to rejoin a clan living as a loner was fun but I need to settle down."

Eaglestar, who had been ready to accept the new cat and move on, furrowed her brows at the she-cat's words. "Living as a loner was fun?" she repeated incredulously. "Clan life isn't something you can leave and rejoin as you please. I don't care where you come from; loner, kittypet, clan born. It's your dedication to the clan that's important. Putting the clan before yourself and your desires to have fun or settle down." The leader knew she should stop; she was overreacting to what was likely just a poor choice of words. But after a lifetime of fighting to prove her loyalty to her clan despite her birth, the idea of abandoning one's clan on a whim struck a nerve. And with the stress she'd been under, it was difficult to hold back. "Living with us isn't a retirement plan. You want to settle down? Why not become a kittypet?" Eaglestar's tail lashed behind her.
