Hearing a rustling in the bushes, Peppersong turned around, and dropped into her battle stance. Her ears lowered, and she slowly crept closer to the source of the sound, and pounced into the bush, surprised at who she saw on the other side. "Oh, hi Moonleaf." She greeted the other warrior. I heard something in the bushes, and was making sure that it wasn't a rogue or something," the she-cat said with a slight smile.

Tanglepaw looked up at them both with a sheepish expression, it was true he wanted a mentor; but who? He liked Peppersong and Tigerstorm well enough, they had both mentored before; Peppersong about four and Tigerstorm, what about three? He shook his dark head "at least there will be more soon with Poppypetal's kits becoming apprentices too" he mewed.

Moonleaf laughed. "That's okay." She said. She suddenly heard shuffling from the ground. She jumped remembering the same noise a badger had made coming up from the ground. She stepped back. It turned out to be a large mouse, and she sighed relief.

Peppersong mrowed. "I know, I was thinking exactly what you were thinking no doubt. It could've been a badger, thank Starclan that it was just a mouse, and prey for the clan." She said.

Moonleaf nodded, her heart rate returning to normal. She pounced on the mouse, and buried it to be picked up after patrol.

Tigerstorm scampered to join Peppersong and Moonleaf. "Hey, sorry I'm kinda late showing up on patrol. I had to make sure there were enough warriors left at camp."

Peppersong nodded at the tom. "No problem," she mewed, and continued refreshing the borders, and smelling the air every once in a while. So far, there were no foreign scents to her. Good, she thought. Maybe we can have some peace.

Satisfied with the new scent borders, Peppersong felt that the she could return to camp. Padding back, she stayed alert. She picked up her pace to a run when she felt like she was being watched in the shadows. She made it back to camp, panting. I'm just imagining things, it's just my imagination. She assured herself. I need some rest. Yeah, that's what I'll do. I'll take a nap, and clear my head. Peppersong thought, walking off to the warrior's den, and resting in a moss nest.

Regalmane lay in the warriors den, resting. He lifted his head when he heard someone else come in. "Hello, Peppersong." he greeted with a charming smile.

Brightstar padded out of her den. She sat down, near the Great Tree, and watched as the others hurried past to do their duties as warriors. She smiled.
