Ambershine nodded to Honeydawn before she left."Thankyou."she watched her new friend leave before looking at her kits again. They were all so precious to her, but one had already been lost. She swore to protect them all at that moment, even if it cost her life."I'll take care of you little ones. I promise."she gave witheredkit a few licks, hoping to calm him and his littermates

Bluekit squealed as she heard Witheredkit and slowely pawed his ear

Hootkit
Hootkit started to feel calm again but then mewed loudly as he felt one of his littermates climb onto his back. In fright, he squeaked a few times to try and get his mother's attention.

Ambershine heard Hootkit and lifted Bluekit off of him gently before giving Hootkit a few quick licks. He was still young and had much to learn, but for now she would keep him safe and happy

Hootkit squirmed away from the spot where he just was right when Bluekit was lifted off of him, afraid to go back and get jumped on again. Although as he tried to wiggle away he felt his mother give him a few quick licks which made him squeak. Then smelling her warm, comforting scent made him wiggle back towards her and curl up agents her belly fur.

He laughed quietly," Yes I know. We'll just have ell her that even though there are more kits in the den she can't play-fight with them." The leader looked at his daughter. "Snowkit come here." Bumblestar beckoned with his tail.

The Fluffy gray kit crawled over bluekit and layer across her and blastkit.

Ambershine protectively wrapped her tail around her kits."I don't mind them playing with Snowkit once their old enough. Maybe she can give them a tour."she murmered, her eyes closing as she drifted to sleep

Bluekit snuggled against Hootkit and fell asleep, feeling warm and happy
