"Hermit crabs?", Splashfrost asked calmly looking into a pool.

"Not exactly, the little ones that walk sideways. They hide under rocks where the tide comes in at night." Though by far the most strange of the crab-like creatures he'd seen so far were Periwinkles, but those were technically bugs. Most tide pools had small prey and some underwater vegetation, it was pretty; but like taking eggs from a nest.

Splashfrost nodded before looking for a small crab.

Firestar headed back along the beach. He couldn't help but let his eyes rest on Splashfrost and Thistleheart, and broke into a purr. "There'll be some new kits soon!"he chuckled to himself before bounding back through the jungle towards the meeting place.

Silentpool walked into amp and set the clownfish in the pile.

Firestar sat down across from Thunderhaze, setting down his prey. "I see Nightsky and Icewhisker are still out," he mewed.

Moving around the pool, he keeps an eye for any fish bigger than a mouthful. Once in a while, the little pink anemones would harbor clown fish if the water had gone down quicker than usual. Still it would be a strike of luck if they found anything particularly good.

Putting some thought to it, he'd heard Icewhisker moving about before he'd left. Hopefully nothing bad had happened to either of the cats, maybe they were together or returning now. "Are you worried?"

Splashfrost stalked the edge of another pool. She saw a clown fish darting around and she dipped her paw in quickly.

Adderstrike walked away from the patrol to hunt.

His ears prick at her movement, eyeing the water. She was indeed pretty fast to strike, but he could only hold his breath and wonder if she'd actually caught something. He'd seen bits of movement here and there, but nothing worth catching yet.

Firestar chuckled lightly. "No, of course not. Perhaps by storm season there will be many litters of kits. It appears Thistleheart and Splashfrost are getting on well - I saw them at the beach during my hunt. They seemed closer than usual."
