Cypresspaw laid down in camp to sun herself for the time she could. With leaf-bare around the corner, she wouldn't be able to soon enough. She licked a paw before drawing it over one of her ears. The apprentice repeated the steps a bit until her pelt was a glossy brown. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted Sunpaw and made her way over to him. Cypresspaw stood beside him, her tail gently running along his back. "Hey," she purred to him.

Ｆrostpaw nodded. Closing her eyes, the young apprentice took in a deep breath before she opened her mouth, tasting the air around her. Mice. Fresh soil. Rain. Bitter, bitter herbs. The stale scent of twolegs. And just what is that unpleasant stench? Frostpaw opened her eyes and turned to her mentor, amber eyes wide and filled with surprise. Little flecks of curiosity were also present, and not to mention, obvious. "Ｈearthfire," she started. "There are some really awful smelling things out there." She finished. The gray she-cat reconsidered her words, before adding, "Or maybe it's just one thing, I can't tell. It's kind of stale, though."
