Rivermist looked doubtful, but questioning, she followed him. "Alright." She meowed as she sniffed the air. She wandered off a little bit from Hawkstar, then came back. "Erm, Hawkstar, we may have a problem or two." She meowed, annoyance and fright mixing together in her voice.

Sky frost managed to claw up a tree, avoiding branches. She rustled a bush and froze,'waiting to be discovered.

Hawkstar turned to look at her. His tail twitched at the tone of voice she was using. "What is it?"

"Worst things first. I've caught the scent of the badger, still is pretty recent." Rivermist looked at the ground, frowning. "Next, I've also caught a strong smell of wild garlic. It isn't Treefur, because the scent belongs a she-cat. I have a pretty good guess who it is too." She meowed, looked up at the tree where Skyfrost was hiding with slight disappointment in her green eyes.

Hawkstar's eyes widened, feeling alarmed. He took a deep breath and changed the look on his face, so that he seemed calmer. "Is it the same badger from before?" he asked. He tilted his head slightly to the right. "I smell garlic too, though I can't smell a cat scent through it. Is she a clan member?"

"Look up there." Rivermist flicked her up towards the tree where the hidden she-cat was. "That is where the source of the scent of garlic was coming from. If you get closer, you'll be able to smell Skyfrost's scent." She meowed, padding up to the tree. "Skyfrost! What are you doing up there?" She shouted, looking up at the tree. Instead of having an angry tone, she had a rather disappointed one. "You're suppose to be with Treefur! I thought you knew better than to follow the patrol..." She trailed off.

Hawkstar nodded in agreement. "I'm not sure if you've completely healed yet. You don't want to risk reopening them. After all," he added, "if you did, Treefur might not let you go to the gathering."
Since he was clan leader, Hawkstar felt like he was obligated to say more-- something along the lines of a few stern words and then an order to go back to camp. But he was tired, and felt that doing so wasn't worth it, considering the fact that they had bigger things on their minds. And anyway, Treefur would probably have some things to say at camp.
"Rivermist," Hawkstar said, momentarily distracted. "What about the badger?"

"The badger's trail was confusing at first, but it's headed towards where we hunt. That's not good at all." Rivermist looked at Hawkstar with worried eyes. "You seem a bit tired, Hawkstar. Do you want to rest or something?"

Hawkstar really considered Rivermist's suggestion. He was actually tired, but he finally shook his head. "We should probably continue tracking the badger. I'm not too tired."
He looked up into the trees. "What about you, Skyfrost?"

Skyfrost muttered, "I'm not tired. I'll head back to camp. I do t want to disturb your patrol Rivetmist." She turned and stalked back into camp, glum and angry. She scuffed the leaves with her paws as she walked, head hangin low.
