Poor Fawndapple was now completely and utterly confused. She didn't understand what was going on at all, and Eveningsky's reaction had just confused her even more than she already was. Her claws instinctively unsheathed started to work at the ground again, but she forced herself to get a grip and yanked them out. The she-cat sat down in front of Eveningsky and curled her tail around her paws, her expression of confusion and distress clear in her amber-red eyes. She tried to work out if his words had had any meaning in them, staying silent for a long period of time. Is he disappointed at what I said? Is he pleaded? Does he actually care? Her jaws opened briefly to scent the air, sharp pointed teeth glinting in the bright sunlight, but she didn't find the scents of any cats that might have been nearby except the stale scent of a dawn patrol. At least the tom was the only one watching her make a complete mouse-brain of herself. She was so absorbed in trying to order her jumbled thoughts that Fawndapple didn't even acknowledge Eveningsky's reaction. Shaking her head slightly to try and focus, the young warrior twitched an ear. "I think I-" She began then stopped herself and turned to face the forest, taking a deep breath of the clear air. "No," She mumbled under her breath, frowning. Her head was buzzing and the tabby warrior felt slightly dizzy. "We should be getting back to camp." She said reluctantly, immediately regretting it but saying it anyway. Being woven into the bustle of the clan again would hopefully clear her thoughts, and she could always try to talk to him again later. The dark she-cat's gaze turned slightly apologetic as she looked back at the tabby tom, but she knew it was the right thing to do.
(I'll reply for Pearlpaw in a sec)

Still on we crawl
Try to catch a cannonball.
And a slowly burning tide (oh)
Through my veins is flowing.
From my shipwreck I heard her call
And she sang
When you're tired of aiming your arrows,
Still you never hit the mark
And even if your aims are shadows
Still we're never gonna part
Come on baby don't let it break your heart"
The beautiful snowy she-cat nodded slowly, looking at Hawkfeather's face as he spoke, understanding his grief. She padded along as her soft paws hardly made any sounds and blinked her blue eyes; so dark now in the clear, warm twilight that they looked black. "I do know. Featherstorm was such a good warrior. An excellent deputy. We all miss her dearly; I'm still in denial that she'd died right in front of me..." Lightheart sighed as she trailed off. "Cloverstar was so close to her. She thinks as leader that sh e may be able to hide her grief but I can tell how much she's hurting; I'm her medicine cat, after all." She looked down at the ground. I'm sorry Featherstorm. I couldn't save you... no matter how hard I tried. She'd lost too much blood way before Lightheart even got to her. It was that stupid battle. Mistclan and Flameclan had always had some sort of grudge against each other; Lightheart didn't understand why. She thought it was ridiculously stupid. But Moonshade and Lightheart were from Stoneclan at first; though they came her as kits. Still, the young medicine cat thought she'd never get past the stupidity of their quarrels.
"Yes. And Featherstorm's with him. They're finally at peace with our ancestors after all the things they did for both their clans." She was at least happy at that. She blinked her eerie eyes and looked back up brightly. "Ah." The Moonpool. The only place she actually felt safe - strange because most other cats hated the strange sensation of mystery and unfamiliarity in the ancient cave hidden by the blanket of water concealing it from view behind the waterfall. She smiled at Hawkfeather and said gently, "Why don't we both go. It can fit a lot more bodies than two anyway, right?"
The Mistclan medicine cat padded along the white shores, trotting up along the side of the river bubbling from the water. She slipped through the small space between the black, rocky walls and water, following the trail of sand leading to the cave behind the water.
Lightheart sighed softly, looking around after shaking out her pelt, feeling a few drops dripping onto her pelt. She sat down near the Pool's edge, wrapping her slender, white tail around her paws neatly as she waited for Hawkfeather.

You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart
And in the dark, I can hear your heartbeat
I tried to find the sound
But then it stopped and I was in the darkness
So darkness I became"
The beautiful, dark she-cat turned back a little to catch a glimpse of her young apprentice slinking away energetically. She smiled and continued prowling through the undergrowth, in search of some prey anywhere near here. She hoped Squallpaw would find at least a couple small things to catch. Moonshade paused all of a sudden. Mouse! A mouse all the way here? So close to the river? Today was her lucky day. She glanced at the sky quickly and saw that the baby blue expanse overtop the world was quickly turning from pink to orange and then to red. The sun was setting and she needed to catch something soon.
Moonshade flicked one ear, spotting the little dusky brown rodent almost instantly. Her ominous, dark blue eyes glittered with anticipation. Quickly and quietly, the dark grey warrior crept forward, making sure her soft paws didn't rustle any forest debris. Once she was certain she was close enough, the young hunter waggled her haunches, keeping low, and felt her claws unsheathing automatically. She leaped silently, startling the creature. The mouse attempted escape, but she was faster. Moonshade killed it swiftly and stood up, smiling with satisfaction. Her mysterious, pretty face was highlighted to a kind of indigo and grey, the red burning against her dark pelt in a strange, but beautiful way.
Moonshade was a gorgeous she-cat; she just had no clue of it and didn't care for looks. The young Mistclan warrior buried her kill quickly and continued along the tree-line, finding a robin foolishly resting on the ground near where she'd caught her mouse, and a water vole closer to shore. She sighed with contentment and trotted back to the spot she'd split with Squallpaw; picking up her mouse on her way. The fresh-kill hung from her strong jaws as she padded along and she laid them all gently at her side as she sat down and wrapped her soft tail around her paws neatly. The dark tabby she-cat waited patiently for her apprentice to return with his own kill, and she started grooming her smokey chest-fur, smoothing it down with perfection.
