Cougarpaw nuzzled his sister. "Come on lets g comfort mom." he whispered to her.

Sunpaw nodded "she's probably devastated."

Cougarpaw nodded and stood up slowly padding over to his mother. He didn't like showing this sadness but he had never seen Waterstep this sad. He sat by her pushing his pelt into hers and wrapping his tail around her back.

Sunpaw copied her brother but sat on the other side.

Waterstep looked at her kits and gently licked the both of them.

Wildfire padded back into camp from doing something and padded to his family.

Waterstep looked up and purred gently "Wildfire where were you?"

Wildfire shrugged. "I thought i was able to pick up a scent trail that i didn't know... but i lost it." he mewed sitting with his family.

Thrushbeak's eyes leaked tears as his leader was buried. He sadly padded off to the warrior's den and slumped down, rather depressed.

Waterstep nodded "maybe we should all get some sleep."

Wildfire nodded. "Ok." he mewed ushering his kits towards the apprentice den and his mate to the warrior den.
