Ice, for some reason, wandered out of the camp in order to do a bit of hunting when she saw Flower resting under the shade of a palm tree. She padded towards the apprentice and greeted her. "Hello, Flower. I just saw you while coming out of the camp. Are you okay?" she meowed to Flower. Ugh, I sound so overprotective, thought Ice with a hint of annoyance. "I'm sorry for acting all protective.... I just woke up from some nightmare. The only cat I talked to today was Sky. I hope you don't mind me talking to you." meowed Ice calmly.

Raven looked at Fox. "The storms. It's almost time to find out if Scatter has Eagle. I hope she does. How has Rain been?" she asked. Rain was like a sister to Raven, even if Rain didn't think so. Raven's tail intwined tightly with Fox's, if it was possible.

Eagle looked at Ash. "Love, would you like to hunt with me?" he asked softly.

"Rain's been very well! We've been busy, what with all the new kits and the colds that have been going around because of the storms," Fox answered with a light purr. It was all part of a job he loved, however!

Leopard began to smell something other than the slightly dank smell of the forest, and the seemingly everlasting scent of brine and sea. Maybe it was other cats? Spurred on by this hope, he ran a bit faster towards it, and saw someone else. He meant to stop, but accidentally careened into them at full speed. When he had recovered, he quickly shook out his pelt and began to apologize. "I-I'm so sorry! I wasn't watching where I was walking!"

The only thing Sky saw when she was running at full speed to find Leopard was Leopard himself running at her at full speed. They collided and all she could hear at the moment was Leopard apologising to her.
"Well, well, look who it is. And you weren't walking, you were running. So was I," Sky said flatly, accepting his apology. "I was actually going to look for you, considering you are gone for a long time. Where were you?" Sky asked curiously, carefully trying to not sound too curious.
Was he looking for someone or something? Sky thought.

Shadow That Dances at Night
Shadow purred in amusement and pride at the sight of his young, growing daughter Song. She was certainly going to be a charmer when she was older. Her calico fur reminded him of Little, and the pattern was beautiful in almost any light. The ivory could put the hues of a pearl to shame. The auburn was lovelier than the red sunsets over the ocean. The blacks and browns melted with shadows, mimicking a canopy of leaves and brush. A protective air had accustomed itself within him, and even he had opened up to the idea of having daughters around. Leaf, however, was fitting the role of future leader in his own eyes. "Hello Song." he commented, careening around as she "brutally" attacked the soft of his tail. The brown tabby fur stood out on the sharp gray of the cliff side.
Shadow was lounging within the camp boundaries, so anyone searching for him could easily spot him. It was a nuisance being at the ready for others, but apparently that is what the true tribers expected of him. His followers could take care of themselves without having to be told. Breathe. Eat. Sleep. Did he have to tell them everything? It was not long before his thoughts became a reality. Storm's approach was no surprise to him, and he stood up in greeting as she neared. "Hello." he got the words in as she started speaking, head tilting curiously at her request. It was simple. The answer was already there. "Is the food pile low? If so, then yes." He did not actually intend to come off as rude this time. Shadow was in a decent mood. He merely did not like being asked dumb questions if the evidence showed otherwise. If the food pile was actually stocked though . . . well, that was another story.

Flower That Blooms in Shade
Flower was about to duck behind the palm tree when Ice confronted her head-on. The she-cat was wary of boatswains because they meant jobs, chores, and responsibilities. The apprentice would rather hide in a rabbit hole for a while than risk cleaning out the elder's den, no matter how polite Sunset could be. Flower was almost taken aback by how friendly Ice was being, and she wondered if it was some kind of trap. Little had been the former boatswain, and now she was tending to the kits of the rogue leader Shadow. That spoke of her experience of boatswains, so it was understandable she did not know much about how helpful they truly were for the management of the tribe. "Uh -- hi there!" she put on a cheerful tone, never having been the type to turn down a friendly conversation. Flower enjoyed the attention. "No need to be overprotective. This palm tree is protecting me." Flower patted the bark with the tip of her tail, grinning quietly to herself. Tide would have loved that one. "A nightmare, you say? What happened . . . or would you prefer not to say?" Flower could find herself prying sometimes, and that could be a positive or a negative trait. She did not know when to stop is the issue.

Flower That Blooms in Shade (Before the Ice conversation)
The she-cat glanced towards Crow hopefully, though jealousy burned in her being. It was as if Arcadia gave Crow all the answers. All the wisdom for one apprentice, and yet there was none left for her. The cards played against her constantly, but deep down, she knew it was her own doing. The hatred she contained from the death of her mother made her work to be the least of herself. Flower did not try at all during her apprentice trials, often making her mentor frustrated. She did not want to be a nuisance, but her own self held her from reaching her full potential. That was life. "How did she not see . . ." she trailed off waiting for Crow to speak, looking mournfully down at the tattered form below. Flower, when she heard Crow mumbling, wanted to cuff her around the ears. Flower did not rely on anyone. She kept her back to the group, curling her paws into the rocky cliff which was smooth underpaw. As long as she kept her mouth shut, an argument would not ensue.

Stream Where Small Fish Swim
Stream listened patiently as Water questioned Whisper on what hurt. This is where she would have to take a step back. Herbs were not her specialty, though they did intrigue her. She sometimes wished she had taken the path of the field medic, but being a sailor was nearly as rewarding. Her ears remained perked for any signs of danger, wary of the potential presence of Shadow and other foes. The she-cat nodded her agreement to Water's statement, standing a little taller as they neared the camp. A scent hit her nose immediately, and her ears pressed to her head. "I smell Shadow. We need to keep quiet." She had no idea whether or not he was in the front of camp or just outside of it.
