Rift coughed deep in his throat and looked away, realizing he hadn't seen one of his own tribe for as long as he could remember. He didn't want to admit that to Reaper, though, in case it gave the impression he really was a prophecy dragonet. "Oh, thanks, Sarcastic." In response to Torrent's initial question, he muttered, "I wasn't in a cell."

Beluga: "You should look at him more. He's a hybrid so he's pretty weird to look at" he said, pointing to Reaper. "Also, his name isn't Sarcastic..." he said, looking at him weirdly. He looked pretty banged up.

Torrent realized her cheeks were growing warm, and she looked away for a moment, then back at Rift. "So, um.. What's your name? And what brought you down here - or the island, for that matter?" She smacked her tail lightly on Beluga's face when he said 'weird to look at'.

[AGGUA!]

Reaper-
Reaper growled warningly. "Bit your tongue, Beluga, or I'll cut it out for you," he hissed, gripping the bars of his cell tighter, his forked tongue flicking in and out and his barbed tail thumping against the stone ground.

"Oh, uh, hmm," Rift was suddenly turbulent with his speech, as if he were attempting a particularly difficult tongue-twister. "Well, I can tell you that later. My name's..." he glanced at Reaper. "My name's Reef."

Beluga: "Owww" he said, blinking his eyes as her tail flicked his face. "See, they're super mean to me. That's why you have to get me out first" he said, then clamped his tongue slowly on his tongue. His eyes watered. BUT HE HAD TO STAY STRONG.

[AGGUA!]

Reaper-
"Yeah, let him have a head start!" Reaper agreed, licking his lips. "The hunt's the fun part!"

Writer's block

Volcano slithered to the top of her pit, dark talons grasping the ledge that was the floor of the prison. Her 'cell' was mostly underground, with holes at the top that she couldn't even try to fit through. She had heard conversation that didn't seem like it was between prisoners.
A SeaWing, that wasn't a prisoner recognized, was speaking to some of the dragons. He looked... suspiciously similar. "Reef, hmm?"

Torrent rolled her eyes, lightly sitting down. "Ignore them. Reaper is.. a little too eager to kill, and Beluga is a big baby." She smiled, turning her deep blue eyes to Rift. "So. Like Reaper said, my name is Torrent. Nice to meet you, even though it isn't the best circumstances right now."

Beluga: "WAIT, NO, I DIDN'T MEAN IT LIKE THAT" he said, shifting away from him and moving closer to Torrent. "I'm not a big baby. I'm six. My mom said so" he stated.
