Wolfhowl just stood their in disbelief at the She-cat known as Hollyfrost before glancing at his brothers, which both just merely gave a shrug. Wolfhowl sat for a moment to clear his throat, and spoke again. "Well, it was only the past. There is no reason to go on and feel sympathetic for what has come and gone; it will not happen ever again since I am not that mouse-brained and desperate."

Shadowscar had to narrow her ivy eyes as she walked straight through one of the rays of light that beat down from the bare stems of trees, pooling the warmth on the ground. She walked close to Ashice before pressing herself on the ground in reaction to the unusual amount of scents of prey that filled the air. "Why not?" she replied, a slight amount of laughter ringing in her voice.

{I remember Soulstar from somewhere....Wasn't it one of the first WillowClans that you did? And yes, I loved his story x3}

Hollyfrost pulled her head back and gave Wolfhowl a brief nod before looking nervously down at her paws as a fluster of embarrassment began to show. Sunrose shook her head and looked between the three brothers, "Well with that aside," she began, trying to ease some of the awkwardness that her friend created, "How are all of your Apprentices doing?" she asked, changing the subject and getting everyone's mind away from Shadowscar and Ashice.

Ashice smiled and nodded his head before slowly beginning to pad into the woods. He kept his nose high in the air, trying to catch the scents of any nearby prey; which seemed surprisingly easy, especially in leaf-bare. Parting his jaw slightly, the Tom caught the familiar scent of a mouse. Looking around, Ashice could see the small, but noticeable brown body scurrying around on the cool ground. Instinctively, he fell into a Hunter's Crouch, slowly stalking after his prey. When he came close enough, he leapt up to pounce on it, but the mouse must've heard him, and bounded away before he could catch it; leaving the Tom to fall awkwardly on his side.

Ravenfrost glared at the She-cat as if she had ordered a death sentence, but Hawkice merely chuckled and licked his paw. "I don't have an Apprentice, well, ever since I was chosen as the Deputy," he boasted, a wide grin on his dark ginger muzzle. "I haven't seen Echopaw in days..." Ravenfrost had sheepishly mewed, more like a squeak, and glanced over to Wolfhowl. "Rushpaw has been great, and has made great progress when it comes to stealth. What about you two?"

Shadowscar watched the Tom as he missed his prey, chuckling slightly to herself before aiming at the same mouse he had missed; which had stopped nearby. With the same luck Ashice had, she pounced, only missing it by a whisker length as the small morsel scurried through the thick foliage.

{Huzzah! *Noms happily on cookie* Oh, and I noticed you put "Sunfire" instead of "Sunrose" on the Mentor and Apprentices list xD}

Both she-cats nodded their heads to each Tom before speaking up, "Amberpaw is doing quite well. She could use a bit more work on her defensive skills, though." Sunrose mewed before turning to her friend. Hollyfrost nodded to the golden she-cat before speaking about her own Apprentice, "Bristlepaw is doing fine as well, but it's been a while since we've done a bit of hunting." she meowed, "Perhaps we could all take our Apprentices out for a bit, and Hawkice could watch over them to see how well they're progressing." she added, looking at the Deputy.

Ashice sighed and managed to push himself up to his paws. After swaying a bit, he found his center of balance and shook his head before looking up at Shadowcar, "Bad luck I guess." he meowed and shuffled his paws and looked at the ground, "Stupid fox..." he grumbled quietly to himself.

Hawkice seemed to have straightened up his position, puffing out his chest a little to appear responsible. "That would be a great idea! Except..." He paused for a second, twitching his tail in irritation. "Bristlepaw hasn't been seen since the day Ashice and Shadowscar left." Wolfhowl shook his head slowly. "Now now, Hawk, I have seen Bristlepaw since then, but not afterwards. It was a few sunrises ago." Ravenfrost slightly twitched his right ear in boredom; he couldn't jump into the conversation.

Shadowscar drooped her ears to see the Tom feeling bad about himself, so she padded closer and nearly pressed herself against him; she only slightly caught herself before she had done that. "Ashice, you are lucky to be alive. Most of the Clan cats that were in the critical condition you went through didn't even make it." her ivy eyes seemed a bit dull as she watched the Tom.

Hollyfrost dipped her head down sheepishly as she looked at her paws, "I-I thought he was just going out to hunt by himself for a change...I didn't know he had been gone this long.." she murmured. She felt like a terrible mentor; not knowing where her own Apprentice was. Sunrose narrowed her hazel eyes sympathetically at her friend before looking at all three Toms, "Do you think he went to go find Ashice and Shadowscar?"

Ashice kept his gaze focused on his paws for a moment as he took in what the she-cat had said. Eventually, he looked up and smiled faintly at her, "I suppose you're right," he meowed, letting his smile grow a bit, "And it's all thanks to you." he purred, shyly curling his tail around his leg.

Wolfhowl had spoke up for the two, not caring if either had an answer; he was basically the lead of the three. "Bristlescar did have some questions about the two," he brought up, tail twitching in curiosity. "Wherever the small Tom has gone, we may never know." "Wolfhowl, why don't we just search for him? We could find Shadow and Ash on our way" Hawkice meowed, eyes full of worry for the young Apprentice.

Shadowscar's heart nearly stopped when she had heard the Tom thank her in a purring sound, and shakily wrapped her tail around her front paws as well in a shy manner. "W-well, it is true," she stuttered before the crackling of a twig caught her attention. "Ashice... We need to get back to the den. Now." her mood was transformed from in love to serious and orderly, with her standing up in a bit of a pouncing position before backing away towards the den.

Sunrose perked her ears up in curiosity, "Questions? What kind of question?" she prompted. Perhaps we was wondering about what would happen to them if they got too close. She mentally shook her head, No...they know better than that...Don't they? she wondered. Noticing her friend was deep in thought, Hollyfrost looked up at Hawkice, "I say we go. I don't want him to think I'm a bad mentor." she mewed softly.

Ashice had already bristled his pelt and unsheathed his claws at the sound, but when Shadowscar called him to go to the den, he obeyed. Padding over as fast as his injured body could go, he made it back to their hidden den and moved the bush aside to crawl in.

Hawkice seemed ecstatic to leave at first, but looked at Wolfhowl to see his eagerness; there was no way he or Raven were going. Only Wolf and the She-cats. "I'll go instead of them" Wolfhowl spoke up, practically reading the Tom's thoughts.

Shadowscar had her thoughts set onto one thing; she knew exactly what it was. The Tom, Bristle-whatever, was able to find them. But why? Why would a weak Apprentice come and search for us? Thoughts not yet clear, she slowly climbed her way into the den, and dragging the foliage back over the entrance with her jaws. "Someone found us."

Hollyfrost and Sunrose looked up at Wolfhowl and nodded, "Right, shall we start our search for the lost Apprentice?" Sunrose asked as she rose to her paws. The other she-cat looked over at her friend and nodded before too standing up. Her paws were prickling in worry about where her Apprentice must be at, Dear StarClan let him be safe.

Ashice had settled down in his moss bed that he had been sleeping in for the past few days. He glanced up worriedly at Shadowscar and dipped his ears, "Do you know who it is and how they found us?" he asked. He didn't want anyone to find them; not when he was getting closer to her...
