When Eaglepaw started pushing her again, she let out a startled mew. But as soon as her nose touched Robinpaws, she froze. Her eyes widened and it felt like she had stopped breathing. All the blood drained from her face before rushing back up. Her face was super hot and a bright red against her blondish fur.

Lilypaw sighed. "If I'm honest, Oakflower hasn't taught me this yet. I'm sorry." She looked at her paws and curled her long fluffy tail around them. The medicine cat apprentice looked at Scartail and then to Rabbitpaw, guilt and sorrow clouded her eyes. Her eyes jerked away from the apprentices and up to the leaders, who looked like they were about to start.

Minnowpaw gave him an uncertain smile. She looked at Lilypaw then to Rabbitpaw. Unsure on what to say, she just mumbled. "Do you know what's wrong with Eaglepaw then?" The fæ looked at Lilypaw, who herself seemed unsure.

Reedstar nodded, looking out over the cats. "Let us begin."

"Oh," she mewed in return to Reedstar announcing she was now leader. This meant that Ashstar was dead. "Ashstar was a noble and respected leader. Hopefully he had a good trip from his ninth life to StarClan." Faithstar nodded in return to Reedstar saying the words the commence the gathering, and the sandy-pelted leader took her place on the top of the entrance to the area, and waited for the other cats to come up.

Larkwillow smiled in return to Antclaw's, and she instantly felt a bit more comfortable with one of her best friends at her side. She had no idea where Thornfang went, but she was glad that Antclaw was with her. "There's a lot of cats here," she commented absent-mindedly, forgetting the fact that Antclaw had his own set of eyes to see what was going on around them.

Leaftail looked around the cats, trying to pick out any familiar faces from ThorClan or LeafClan. He could, and names of the other cats rushed into his head. they all were older ones, though. He couldn't recognize most of the young ones, like Apprentices, that were here. Leaftail gently pushes his way through, hoping to find a cat to talk to.

Flamepaw smiled proudly when the LeafClan apprentice complimented his name. His green eyes gleamed joyously as he listened to her reassurance that she had not been injured by his foolishness. Without replying, the young tom listened to what else the young molly had to say. Flamepaw's happy expression faded when Aspenpaw queried about how the clan's been doing. "Things have been rough," he admitted, obviously shown to be crestfallen from the way his ears drooped. "A Queen named Mossheart died recently of greencough, a couple moons after two of her five kits died. Only two of the remaining kits made it to be apprentices. There are here for their first gathering right now..." Flamepaw purposely didn't mention anything about Deathshade, just so that he wouldn't be pummeled with questions he could barely answer. Instead, the tom continued to talk about different things before Aspenpaw could ask. "Mossheart's mate, Rowanlog, has been in a depression ever since the death of Mossheart. Thank StarClan Faithstar let him mentor his son, Ivypaw. We also lost our medicine cat apprentice to that bout of greencough. On the bright side of things, three new Warriors have been made." Flamepaw only answered things that he knew Faithstar would talk about. He was especially careful not to mention anything about his new discovery about his family.

Aspenpaw started to flatten her ears, feeling sorry for the clan's misfortune. Hopeclan seemed to be going through a lot at the moment, she started to wish she hadn't blurted out her question. I'm truly sorry about all this bad luck Starclan has given to your clan. I hope things start to turn better for Hopeclan. She sighed solemnly, turning her head away to face something else. Swishing her tail, she saw that the three leaders seemed to be starting the gathering soon.

Lilypaw looked at Minnowpaw and let out a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Minnowpaw. I hope Eaglepaw recovers." She mewed before looking up at the leaders who looked like they were about to begin the gathering.

Minnowpaw nudged Lilypaw's shoulder in a friendly manner. "Don't worry Lilypaw," she meowed before adding in a low murmur. "And try to take your mind off of Oakflower, it will only get you upset." The silver apprentice gave her a small smile before looking up at Reedstar and Faithstar as they began.

Flamepaw nodded in agreement to Aspenpaw. "Yeah," he murmured, voice trailing off. He was a bit unsettled when Aspenpaw had said that StarClan was giving this luck to him. Flamepaw frowned nervously. Would StarClan really wish this terrible fortune on us? Lionlight, Sunpaw, Lightningpaw, Mossheart, Joykit, Thunderkit, Watereyes? They've only joined StarClan recently... Do they all wish this on us?

Antclaw nodded, still looking around. He recognized a few cats, but no one that he was particularly close to. "More cats then I would have thought." he finally said, gazing up at Faithstar. Antclaw smiled, looking back to Larkwillow. "Do you think she'll say anything about you, Thornfang, and I?" he asked, hoping she would.

Applepaw snorted gleefully as her brother walked up. "I'm glad to be here! Firepaw, this is my brother, Ivypaw. Ivypaw, this is Firepaw!" she meowed, smiling widely. Something in the corner of her eye caught her attention. Faithstar was high above the crowd. "Hey! I think it's starting!" Applepaw said cheerfully to the two.
