Batpaw didn't lift his head as they finally arrived at camp, frowning as he heard Snailpaw's giggle. Was that amusing to everyone else, his blindness? But instead of speaking, he quickened his pace. His long tail flickered slightly, but then quickly resumed it's droopy demeanor. The invasive thoughts continued, regardless of the young cat's inward wish for them to stop. S-should I tell Windtail about the dreams? Will he even listen, or care after what I said and did to him? The petite tom shuddered again, before slinking into the medicine cats den and laying down, obviously not wanting to take his herbs.

Her ears went back in alarm as she realized he'd heard her giggle. The fur along her spine bristled slightly with guilt and she parted her jaws to apologize. But she stopped herself, believing he would think it was hollow anyway, and she looked down at her paws. When Batpaw completely disappeared into the medicine cat's den, she stood where she was a little awkwardly before glancing towards Sunpaw and Windtail and retreating to the apprentices' den.

He followed after BatPaw, quietly moving over to the herb store where he sinffed out some feverfew and a poppy seed. Carefully, he wrapped them up in a small leaf before nuding them over to BatPaws nest, where the leaf lightly opened, revealing the two herbs.

Batpaw listened to the sound of Snailpaw retreating, but didn't say anything. He knew he should thank her for coming to help, but he just couldn't muster the strength. When his mentor slid over the herbs, the young one cast a glazed glance over his shoulder, before angling his head towards the herbs. Smelling what they were, he shook his head 'no' and laid back down again, his back to everyone and head resting on his forepaws. I don't want them, Windtail. I don't deserve them.

The medicine cat sighed quietly, deciding not to bother forcing the herbs onto BatPaw. Silently, he went inside his nest, curling up tightly and closing his eyes. He was tired from what had happend, and wanted to rest for a while.

[yeeee.]

Batpaw heard his mentor lay down, and squeezed his blind eyes shut tightly. But after a few seconds of misery, he spoke again, even quieter than the last time. "Are you still mad at me?"

He opened up his eyes again at the sound of BatPaws voice."No.." He meowed quietly, letting a few quiet moments pass by."Are you?" He finally asked, but soon regretting the question.

Batpaw felt a strange sense of relief when he heard the no. Hearing Windtail's question, he fell silent for a second, before speaking again, this time a bit stronger. "No." He rolled over, blinking open his blind eyes before mewing again. "I shouldn't blame you for my problems." then, he felt silent for a few seconds before speaking again, obviously nervous. "I've been having these strange dreams..." he hesitated, licking his maw nervously. "And I don't know what to do..." the petite tom trailed off uncertainly. These weren't messages from Starclan, he was about 99% sure... so why did they keep recurring? Did he really have amnesia?

"What have you been seeing in these dreams?" He asked quietly, looking towards BatPaws direction. Were these signs of StarClan? Or was the medicine cat apprentice seeing something else...

"I saw the outside world," Batpaw said quietly, playing with the moss in his bed. "Beautiful brown trees with strong limbs bearing orange and mint leaves; the lake, so reflective and serene, with multi hued flowers everywhere, and a setting sun in the background." The apprentice then fell silent as he reveled that scene, knowing that he'd only see it in his dreams. "But then, a bloodcurling yowl fills the air, the cry of a kit, and everything goes dark; like my world. The kit sounds familiar," he added, curling into a tighter ball, his milky gaze locked on Windtail.

"And... there's one more thing..." he hesitated, unsure if his mentor would even believe him; so, he decided to let the first round of information sink in.
